It's strange how the same blades work differently in different razors. The Personna blades work well in just about all my injectors except the M1. The shaves are good even great but I have to work at it more. Oh well, time to face the day.

I opened up the Fat Boy to 7 in order to get a few more of the tough whiskers on the first pass. It worked and I will keep it at 7 for a while. It was a very nice, if slightly rough shave.

 

I find that my Rise Aftershave comes close to the fragrance of the Gillette Series Cool Wave, but the latter trumps. The Rise is funny in decription-it has a big NEW on the top, and "Trusted Since The 50's" om the bottom, lol. But I saw the catch to this-you get a LIGHT smell of the original Rise(of the 50's)...the "new" part is because the concept of Rise Aftershave IS new.

MdC today. 20 seconds to load the Plisson Badger. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Personna Med Prep in the NEW SC. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Modern Fougere

It was Glacial Spearmint that scared me away from the heavily mentholated products.
Maybe if I didnt live close to the north pole I would enjoy them more

 

I made a comment in "sports" about the length of the beard of that Astros pitcher. Never saw one THAT close to the ground.

I have a head cold so I'm not sure about the scent of Falling Leaves. Very good performance! The Gillette Old Type again was spectacular, a very close 3 pass shave.

Back with the Gillette New SC, I really like both the LC and SC. Loaded a Feather blade, and checked the alignment. The Badger whipped up a thick warm lather in my go to OS Mug. Very close two pass shave with some touchup. More aggressive than the LC so I had to pay close attention. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Finished with some Vintage Old Spice AS from 1973! Nice razor, great feedback and I can get into some spots on my neck with only a little buffing. I'm glad I got both the SC and LC. Y'all have a good one!
