    Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated (1)

    Bowl: Yokohama Studio
    Cream: Proraso
    A/S: Lucky Tiger

One of, if not my favorite razors with a Voskhod blade, which is the first time I have used this manufacture. Added a little menthol crystals to the bowl before adding the cream. I think I said before I used a tablespoon of hot water to the menthol, but is a teaspoon. Excellent 3 pass shave tonight. It will be interesting to see how this blade holds up over a week.

    Old Spice Cologne

Not only is this a face-freezing shave, it's also a tear-jerker which makes me "cry tears of joy." The Glacial Spearmint shaving soap and the bath soap version both have the exact same scent as well as such powerful menthol which can make you feel that you're outside in thirty below zero weather. The shaving soap version has wonderful, rich lather with terrific blade glide. The skincare of this soap and the bath soap version cannot be beaten - 100% perfect moisturizing and such a great soothing feeling. Both the Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel are two more bone-chillingly cold, skin-friendly aftershave products which are so precious to me. ;) :D

    Planned Shave for Wed.
    Prep-Nivea for Men RELAX(in shower)
    Shave-Rise Super Foamy
    After-Shave-Rise
    Razor-a new Gillette Sensor Dispose-ABLE
Comments: I decided to chuck the Barbasol and will look into getting Gillette-either the red regular or the blue Barbershop Fresh to back up the Rise. Will rotate the Rise A.S. with the Gillette Series, but go with the Rise duo for a while.

Believe me Guy, I would never steer you wrong on purpose. My menthol addiction or passion only goes so far and I cannot bear this aftershave on my skin more than once a week. Even the Glacial soaps, balms, and witch hazels or aftershaves would be too much for me on a daily basis because they're wickedly-strong.

    Dove Men Face Wash
Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip
    Gillette NEW SC/Micromatic Bullet-tip * 1947 BYR
    Personna SS/GEM Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip brush. First pass with the Gillette SC NEW followed by second pass with my Micromatic Bullet-tip razor and a GEM Stainless Single Edge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Burley has a scent that reminds me of a cigar bar, but without the smoke, mixed with the colognes that these cigar smokers might be wearing whilst sipping on their martinis. OS describes it as a little woodsy and a little smokey. I find this description to be fairly accurate. It is a manly scent, not to be confused with some newer metrosexual scents. :happy088:

I survived my first straight razor shave without any blood loss so consider it a success. Im glad I limited myself to one pass and then clean up with the Sheraton.

RazoRock Black Mamba with iKon Wave
    Feather #1
    Varlet Beehive Badger 24 X 50mm
    Martin de Candre Fougere
Witch Hazel +++Menthol, Cucumber Melon Whipped Shea Butter
    Fine Platinum

Today was the RR Black Mamba’s maiden voyage. Loaded with a Feather, lathered with MDC by the Varlet Beehive produced a frosting like face coat. The Black Mamba's weight and finish allowed the razor to glide very smoothly. Excellent finish! The shaving angle was very easy to maintain. The razor left more stubble than I’m used to. Three passes plus lots to clean up on the way to BBS. No nicks, no cuts, and no weepers. Finished with a generous splash of Fine Platinum.
