    Dove Men's Face Wash
    Cella Crema da Barba
    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Gillette NEW SC
    Shark Super Chrome (6)
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The Cella Crema da Barba face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Gillette NEW SC and Shark Super Chrome blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SUNDAY
    Evening Shave for Tomorrow

Tonight, I had the opportunity to try another new 'old' razor made in Olean, New York by the Union Cutlery Co. (circa 1940)— a 'Spike' razor. I've read nothing but good things about these shavers so I was glad to finally shave with one. The blade was in very good shape, as were the scales (I need to do some paint touch-up on the Spike logo & icon on the scales ;)). Post-honing, this razor took probably the sharpest edge I've ever pulled off in my brief history of honing! :) And, of course, I managed to nick myself with the über-sharp point—I blame my wrapped left-hand! But despite the operator error, the shave was outstanding!
The Spike blade shape is very similar in both shape and feel to those razors I really find enjoyable to use (dbl duck, Beau Brummel, C-Mon). The one may be a real keeper! :happy088:
    Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Facial Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Dorco-300 (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Le 3e Homme de Caron by Caron

It may be 'chasing the baby,' but I tend to feel better about the shave when I can get three passes in. After spending some time using the FaTip, I'm back with the milder 41c, pairing it with the Dorco-300 principally to get through the couple of remaining blades of that brand I have. The Ginger's Garden soap smells great, and practically exploded in lather the moment I took the lid of its container. The Dorco-300 isn't QUITE able to shave as close as the Bic is for me, but this one (at any rate) is a smooth shaver that's fairly comfortable, producing near-BBS results. The One-X splash and Third Man cologne combined with the Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine (and the TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave) for a veritable study in different takes on jasmine.

2 pass BBS with a noticeably closer "scraped" feel during the shave than with the gentler NEW. Reminds me of what I never liked about the Old Types, though not quite as harsh. Does what it's designed to do in short order, though, that's for sure.

    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razors: Gillette New Long comb
    Blade: Ladas
    soap: LPL

LPL makes a very fine lather when you add enough water to it. I am really happy I picked this up.

3 passes and a BBS with no nicks, cuts, or irritation.

Well, again my Sharp blade just cannot seem to go the entire week - this time it was struggling during the second pass and even the first pass was a bit tuggy but I decided to keep going. It gave me what I would say was a little less than a DFS. The Proraso White soap is wonderful - a nice scent with great lather and it's so soothing. The menthol effect is definitely less than the Green version, but it's still very noticeable. I love that Gold Bond moisturizer so much because as I said yesterday it's not only very cooling, it's also very moisturizing and soothing. The Aqua Velva felt really cool and fresh afterwards. ;) :D

I used the tallow Tiki Fougere today after using one of the Tiki vegan soaps yesterday. I loaded my new Elite Razor brush for 30 seconds and got plenty of great lather. 7th go with the Vintage Gillette Spoiler SS in my NEW SC. Another excellent smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Fine Platinum.

today's shave was nice. I was inspired to use the only Stirling soap I have and the dog was up to bat. so I made nice lather using the sandalwood. the unknown razor was seated in favor of the long comb, it is s little more comfy. now for the a/s. Vorschlaghammer vs. two days of stubble
I skipped shaving yesterday to see how well the 39c would do vs two days growth. In a word: amazing. The razor did not seem to notice the stubble, expertly prepped with Tabac, leaving my face feeling smooth and irritation free. This was a very easy shave. I used Proraso Green PSC again with Tabac, and I love the combination. The menthol cool lasted for all three passes, and the Plisson felt very soft while building lather on my face. The Kyovu aftershave is very soothing and leaves my face soft without any alcohol burn. The bay rum is a warm scent to me and a perfect one for cool weather.

Prep: Proraso Green Crema Pre Barba
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: Plisson Synthetic
    Razor: Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)

Prep: warm wash with Stirling Naked & Smooth bath bar
Lather: St. James of London Mandarin & Patchouli (scuttle)
    Brush: Omega 10006
    Razor: Gillette New SC
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1)
Post: Cool rinse and Ogallala Bay Rum

This jar of cream has been languishing for a while, so I thought I might try it for a few days. Took a small amount and built a nice warm lather in my scuttle. Had enough that after an excellent 2 pass face shave I decided to take 2 passes on my scalp. I think I would have had enough lather for 1 more pass on both my face and scalp. I've only used this cream a couple of times, so do need to dial in the water amounts as it started to dry a bit on my scalp before I could finish up a full pass. The scent is amazing and it leaves my skin feeling good. The clovey scent of the OG Bay Rum complements the citrus in the St. James.

No shave yesterday, but I had no major issues shaving off the extra days worth of growth. I did have trouble with angles on my neck, and it's not as smooth as the rest of my face. Still, after two passes causing minimal irritation I'm left DFS on my face, SAS on my neck.
