Prep: Warm/cold Shower - Neutrogena Face Wash
    Razor: Mergress Long Handle
    Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
Brush: Whipped Dog Boar - 30mmX65mm
    Lather: Proraso Sandalwood
Post: Alum Block, Menthol Witch Hazel
    Aftershave: Proraso Aftershave Lotion

Great shave today. Two passes with clean up = a BBS. I received a little reminder that the corners of the blade are exposed on the Mergress. I got a small nick on the cheekbone while working around the nose. Added some M Bomb to the soap which added more cool to the shave. :happy088:

Excellent shave. This brush really does require at least a brief soaking for best performance. The soap is very slick. Slicker than the similar Provence Sante but inferior to it in every other way. I will say I misjudged it though. It is a very decent soap.

Prep: Hot shower. Neutrogena face wash. Corn Huskers lotion as a pre-shave.

    Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready Boar.

    Lather: Arko.

Razor: vintage Grafco Merkur Open Comb.

    Blade: Personna.

Post: Cold water; Razorock Alum Block; C.O. Bigelow Dr. Galen Herbal Witch Hazel Skin Tonic No. 010.

After: TSD Cedarwood + Honeysuckle splash.

Great little razor for OCtober! Very close to BBS with no mishaps. Seemed a little more aggressive than my more modern Merkur 34C I used yesterday, but not overly so. Will definitely use it again. And someone is going to be very happy when I can post the other two of these I have on the B/S/T board because these are nice little open comb razors.

    Hey Friends,

    today´s High-Noon Shave:

    Soap: Saponificio Varesino "Felce Aromatica"
    Razor: Merkur 34c
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
    Brush: HJM Black Synthetic Fibre

No preshave and no aftershave. I wnated to see how the soap softens my beard without any preshave. I applied cold water to my face, lathered up the soap and let the lather sit on my face for about 3 minutes. Wonderfull!!! Enough lather for 4-5 passes. After the shave an Aftershave was not necessary because of the fantastic skincare of this soap. For me it´s the only soap where i don´t need any balm or aftershave at the end. Stunning!!! Very high recommended!!!

Have a great time and take care of you.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Prep: wash with Clear Essentials glycerin soap
    Soap: The Shave Den, unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 boar
    Razor: 1956 Gillette Super Speed
Blades: Personna med prep, Personna lab
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

Day three of my side by side comparison of Personna med prep blade against Personna lab blade. I'll write about my impressions on the two blades later.

The big boar brush made an excellent lather out of the TSD soap.
