Smoother than silk, smelling great, and ready to go. I have nothing but good things to say about this Arko Ice Mint cream - it has such a nice scent with the typical awesome lather like all Arko creams, and it's the only one which has a significant cooling sensation. The Svoboda balm once again helped to soothe and cool my skin even more after the shave, and the Max Refreshing is a great Bulgarian face-freezer. ;) :D

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Palmolive Stick
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (4)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Badger

    Aftershave: “Osage Brisk”

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

8th shave with the Gillette Slim. I dropped it back down to “4” to compare it with “9”. I pulled out my Palmolive Stick for a change of pace today. The Med Prep is still smooth as glass. I got a DFS, just not quite as close.. I can definitely tell the difference between “4” and “9” on the Slim when shaving with it. I will probably bump it back up a bit, even though the shave was excellent. I finished with a blast of “Osage Brisk” to give me a final wake up!

Very nice shave this morning. Last week I picked up a new hone (Pike) and decided to try it resulting in a couple of rough shaves with this razor. I went back to the Pike with some oil and 100 strokes and ended up with a great edge and have been having some superb shaves. I wish I would have dropped the loft on this brush lower, maybe this weekend I'll try and do that, 50mm might be about right. Have a good one.

    Blade: Derby Extra Stainless Steel
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Cream: Musgo Real Classic
    Passes: 3 (WTG x 2, XTG)
    Post: hot water

I slept in this morning, so felt a little rushed with my shave but it turned out not too bad. I've got no irritation what so ever (from the shave any ways :lyrtuy5:) but I probably should have replaced the blade as this is far from a DFS.

A quick face wash with Nivea for Men Sensitive face wash.
    Mühle R89 coupled with Q-Ball (1).
Arko Men Extra Sensitive SC whipped with Semogue 1520 boar brush in Steve Woodhead shallow mug.
Traditional 3 pass followed by luke rinse, Ajanta alum applied for 1 minute, then rinsed off with cold water.
Finished off with Nivea for Men Sensitive ASB.

Ahh, much better than my failed attempt yesterday with my Merkur 15C. I dunno if I'm too accustomed with my R89, but I really love that razor. First shave with the Q-Ball blade - that's an impressive blade, right in the top tier on my blade list, smooth and sharp (and cheap). The Arko again impressed me with it's lack of scent - perfect for a day with the wife, kid and rest of the family, no need to smell like a barbershop then :) This was a pleasant shave from start to finish. Mix of DFS, BBS and good vibes.

How cooling is that face wash? I saw it at the local supermarket the other day and wondered if it would go well with the cooling Proraso green and the likes.

Enjoyed this scent so much while visiting it in the Tour De Mike's I figured I would see how far I could take the sample. This was shave (4) and looks like there may be one more as well! Obviously short on time to take a proper picture again...Have a blessed day all!

No new photo today - I used the same kit as yesterday with the same great results - DFS with no irritation. I am starting to wonder if I should just sell my slant and stick to the classic and these consistently outstanding results. I can make three passes and touch up with no hint of burn.
Maybe potential boredom is with keeping the slant around, or I could use the money from selling the slant to get the metal flask from Krampert's.

    Thursday:

Prep: Hot compress, Crown Co. Supreme Glide Pre-shave Lotion
    Brush: VDH Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine Glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG
Post: Cold water splash, Alum, cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes

I couldn't do it. Two days, so much razor burn in only 2 passes, along with a couple of nicks on my throat, and I'd had enough of the Voskhod. Into the trash it went. It gets its fair share of glowing reviews, but it's just not a good choice for me at this point. Switching back to the Coffee Jasmine soap made lathering up a breeze, as I had enough rich lather to shave my back - were I so inclined - in about 45 seconds.

Excellent shave this morning. The Klar SS and the ROB ASL go very well together and provide that wonderful Rose Scent that I have been really enjoying lately.
I love the way the warm scuttle brings out the scent in the Klar when lathering. Great shave pics this morning Gents; thanks for sharing! :thanks:

    THURZDAY
Pre: hot shower & face towel; homemade Cedarwood pre-shave cream
Razor: Merkur Futur (2nd shave), Set to "1.5" mild
    Blade: Feather Stainless (Day 2)
    Brush: Semogue 830 boar
    Lather: Tabac soap
    Shave: Three passes + touch-up
Post: Cold water wash; Alum block, Lime/Citrus Balm

Decisions, decisions...I had such an incredibly close shave yesterday that I really didn't need to shave this morning. No fun there, so I decided to go back to the FUTUR once again, only this time I dialed the adjustment setting back to the tick mark between the "1" & the "2." A mild setting. The Futur still provided a very comfortable shaving experience with plenty of audible feedback. So even IF I didn't need to shave, I still felt compelled to use this razor & was rewarded with another DFS! This morning provided me the opportunity to experience one of the true benefits of adjustable razors: being able to 'adjust' the aggressiveness per the shaving need.

Gillette Fusion Proglide Power with Proglide Power cartridge (5)
    Semogue 1305 boar bristle brush,
TABAC soap, lather with hot water & shave—
apply Captain's Choice Lime for a damn fine shave!

A calm, soothing shave today, a near BBS, which is rare for me, but a closeness that comes natural using the Fusion Proglide, I love this razor! Shaved off my mustache today, and it feels good to have more estate to shave. Also good to feel the air with the cooler weather in Tucson this morning. I love the feel of this close shave. Aces!
