What a SoS is like when you are deployed...

Ever wonder what it's like to go through this man ritual at a military deployed location?

Lets see...

Cold shower (piss warm if you're lucky and in a dirty trailer with a dozen other people) and barely any pressure :mad:

Wash with cheap crappy: Old Spice Red Zone All in One (Hair and body wash)because it is all they had at the PX after I ran out of my usual :sick007

Lather (if you can call it that) with Edge Goo from a can
Shave with Gillette Fusion Power (needs replaced but I can't get them here)oh and the battery is dead

:ashamed001That about sums it up. No luxury here. I hope to change that. That's why I'm here learning about DE and all the right products here at the Shave Den. :ashamed001

I also got a shipment from the Mrs. of HeadBlade products, that at least is a good shave routine. Currently I only have time to shave my head on my one day off each week. But I enjoy it and that routine is a little better:

Pre-treat with HeadShed exfoliator
Lather up with HeadSlick
Shave with HeadBlade Sport (soon to be my S4)
Rinse
Treat with Clear Head.

These are good products and I have the idea that this is safer/easier than a DE on the dome.

If anyone has any suggestions or product samples they'd like to throw my way let me know, I am willing to try anything in the SoS world that will make things just a little more relaxing/enjoyable.

another very enjoyable shave with my Weishi, which works unbelievably well with a Wilkinson Sword blade. I cannot get over how nice this Lord cream smells, and how well it performs.

 

Ah Saturday, the day to take it easy and really enjoy the shave.

Musgo Real preshave soap / VDH boar brush / Col Conk Almond soap / Parker 89r 3 piece razor / Crystal blade d1 / TWH / Florida Water Cologne.

Love Col Conk Almond soap, the aroma is marvelous and it works well for me.

First time with the Parker 89r. It's well made, shiny as a new nickel, and works very well. I'm well pleased with it. Using it with a Crystal blade gave me a really nice shave.

  [*]Result: An absolutely wonderful BBS shave this morning. It has been awhile since I used the Derby blade and it performed as I had become used to. Nice smooth and comfortable shave. I can't say enough about the "Oil Pass". Leisureguy got me onto something that really makes the shave great. It is the one constant factor in every shave.

there are those who don't agree, but this Italian Red Palmolive cream is IDENTICAL in every way to the Euro Classic version in the green tube. In other words, it just as fantastic! The Shark blade is still holding out well.
