This was my best shave since being back to DE two month ago. Also the third shave in a row to lather directly on my beard. The lather has never been better. I think I'm a convert. I still use my home made scuttle to keep my brush/lather warm and it works fine.

Thomas, the Avalanche soap is wonderful---very, very cooling, and the scent, WOWWWWWWWW!!! It's beautiful. The next one I'll be getting is the Bay Rum, it's on the way.

    Friday

    Hot shower
    C&E Best Badger
    TGQ Cucumber Melon soap
    "J" Injector/USA Shick
    Witch hazel
    AV Ice Blue
    SCS Aged Leather aftershave milk
    D&G EDT

The aroma on the soap has vanished. Don't know what to say, it was there when I opened up the ziplock bag on arrival, but lathering today, there was nothing. Still, the lather itself was top notch, if unscented.

    Shower:
Issy's Hydrogen soap (used on body and hair)

    Shave:
    Savile Row 3126/Moss Scuttle
    Palmolive Cream Euro Edition
Wade and Butcher 7/8 Full Wedge
    Tony Miller #1 30 linen/ 100 leather
Three Passes WTG Face and neck/XTG Face/ATG Neck
    WWR
    CWR
    Alum Block
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Classic Blue

Good shave...had 4 days of growth. Had some trouble spots at the jawline..but didnt want to keep going over it with the Str8 so i busted out the DE. The Palmolive was very slick.

On a side note..if the Aqua Velva doesnt burn when you put it on....does that mean you had a good shave? I got the nice cooling effects after.....but it wasnt OUCH!!

I didnt get any of the tingling feeling i sometimes get. I read somewhere the more it burns...the more damage you did to your face during a bad shave.

That's correct, if you chew your face up, you'll feel the alcohol

Result: 4.6/5.0 BBS. Got that with a using a new razor for me no less. C&E shave soap does help I must admit. I'll be trying that again with the Kent soap and see what happens. I figured out the Kent soap is too hard and I need to soften it a little.

Second shower after exercise later today
Bath Soap: Nancy Boy Spa Bar Soap
Shampoo/Conditioner: Avalon Organics Peppermint Revitalizing Shampoo w/Babassu Oil
Deodorant: Crystal Stick Mineral Salt Body Deodorant

I had a very hard time learning this soap but again....
    TripMills are different ;)

    Use your favorite soap brush
Soak then shake out almost all the water
Load the brush with as much soap as possible....work the brush on the soap until there is no lather on the soap
Make sure your face is wet and then take the brush to your face.
add dribblets of hot water to the breech until uberLather is attained.

    Itll work.
    Trust me :D

I did get Uber lather before. Used my standard technique for a triple mill for that and I did it with a scrubby cream brush. :p I just want to soften it up a little to make it easier because I could use this soap as a hockey puck. The Kent wooden bowl lids fit horribly.

P.S. your technique works just as well. :happy096
