Thanks, Perry! Nice to be with another musician.
That kit is one of a kind - it was briefly owned by the late and great Ian Wallace, drummer for King Crimson. All the shells were hand picked for him by Takashi “Hagi” Hagiwara himself - Hagi has been called the “godfather of Yamaha drums” - the unofficial ambassador of the company's percussive products around the world for over four decades. The lacquer is called pink flake and was also special order, one-of-a-kind. They sound studio perfect. Always. :happy088:

    Thanks very much, Doug. :)

Quite a bit better. Our refinery is almost fully back up, so work should be slowing down a bit. The area still has lots of work ahead, but people are getting after it.

Nice image, Doug. How do you like that Blackland SABRE? It looks like a great shaving axe!

Tonight's shave was with a nice French razor. I had a very smooth, and comfortable 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. It could have been better, but I was distracted with soap issues. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/the-village-soapsmiths.57503/ . This caused a lot of aftershave burn. Excellent razor though.

RAZOR: Micro Touch One - mild but effective TTO DE.
BLADE: Astra Superior Platinum DE blade
BRUSH: NONE - applied by hand
PRESHAVE: All About Men Advanced Moisture Shave Cream (TUBE GEL)
CREAM: Personal Care Sensitive Skin Shave Cream (CAN)
AFTER SHAVE: Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum
    Micro_One_Touch_Canned_Cream_VIBR.jpg
Needed a quick but effective shave - no fuss, no muss!
Got a very nice 3- pass BBS (with touchups).
Got this cream at an outlet store - 2 cans for $.99 - I am a sucker for the good deal.
The cream is rich, very dense and clean smelling, but a little drying to the skin. The pre-shave cream gave some additional slickness and moisture.

Very nice brush. How is the knot?
I've looked but not found a replacement in that NOS style.
