Is African coffee better than Columbian? What's the difference?

Mang, a little IRC reference. Ok, more details then u want but I can'y stop myself

Details, I was off today and ran errands all day long. One of my last stops was EBC to pick up my razor and blades.

I took a long shower and steamed the heck out of my face.

I then ran my EBC Almond soap in mug under hot water for several moments to warm everything. While this was going on I gave my face three hot towel steams.

I then steamed and wet my brush and proceeded to build a nice thick foam and lather up.

My first pass was wtg, and my second was xtg. I wasn't looking to do more and rash my face as I am learning a new style of shaving and a new razor and learning about blades, all at the same time. I want to learn this day by day.

I finished with EBC After Shave Balm and a little Canoe aftershave. And I loved it.

As first shaves go, it way exceeded my expectations. I have lots of blades to play with and will probably add a pack or two through my readings here. Also, getting ready to set up a menthol mug for a rotation from my daily soap, EBC Almond, which I love.

If it wasn't better, I wouldn't like it.
Actually, "better" is such an ambiguous term.
African coffees, in my opinion, have more body than Central or South American coffees.
It's like the difference between light beer and regular beer. Light beer just tasted watery to me. Regular beer had more body. Of course all that may have changed over the years. I haven't had a beer since '94.
Some folks like light beer. I didn't, so for me, regular was "better."

No Name German Razor - Palmolive soap - Simpson 57 - Alum - Witch Hazel - Old Spice Whitewater

Nice and clean but picked up a couple of nicks along the way. Not done that for a while, guess it was just one of those days. ​

 

Sounds like it would be delightful with some vanilla creamer and a spoon of sugar. Where do you purchase your coffee and is it available pre roasted and ground?

 

Ha! I do too. SWMBO gets onto me, "It'll dry your hair out." But I haven't seen a problem and when the menthol spreads down to the scalp, oh boy! Delightful in scent and scalp betinglement. That's right, I said betinglement

How was it Scott? Everybody here has had their first DE shave. You are not alone Scary? Triumphant? Abysmal? Congrats either way, they generally get better from here, even if it was amazing.

For the second day in a row, I was rewarded with a stellar SE shave. The OCMM is probably the greatest razor ever created. I don't want any lip from you naysayers. As long as you are mindful of the razor, it is extremely effective and rather gentle. The Semogue ripped through the remaining MWF that I am trying to use up and created a rich creamy lather. Not sure if I will replace it when it is gone as I have a good amount of other products to get through, but I am becoming a fan. Even the scent which I once found repulsive doesn't bother me. It was all wrapped up with a nice splash of heavily boosted Superior 70.

Pretty good shave, only did two passes so I would not make the irritation from yesterday an worse. SAS. I picked up the nivea cool kick artic blast based on name only. I wanted somehting that was cooling, but I could take on jobs. Seemed ok, but not real cooling. smelled like nivea to me.

I wrote up a description but I can some it up easily. What was I waiting for. And I know it get's better too. This is exactly what I was looking for.
