    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint (bowl-lathered)
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (3, 4)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
    Cologne: Brit by Burberry

My morning routine got a little discombobulated due to my cat knocking stuff over in the other room. As a result, in order to let the preshave balm sit on my face long enough to do its work, I opted to bowl lather. Naturally, this whipped up enough lather to organize a pass-around. As was true yesterday, two passes left me with a DFS without any irritation or nicks. I opted to let the witch hazel dry before applying the aftershave balm, and it seemed to absorb better as a result.

Tuesday's shave. First ever Razorock shave!!!

Preshave - Gillette pre shave wash ( I really like this as it doesn't dry it so I put it on at the start of the shower and leave it on until the end.)
    Lather - Razorock Classic
    Razor - R41
    Blade - Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush - Wee Scot
    Aftershave - Nivea balm

Great shave. Omelmad was kind enough to send me a sample of Razorock Classic. Great soap, easy to lather, nice smell, really nice. Thanks Omar :)

    5/8 Torrey Shoulderless
    Preshave - Noxema Classic Clean
    Rose of Bulgaria SC
    Georgetown Scuttle
    Semogue 820 Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion
    Rose of Bulgaria ASL

Trying the Noxema cream as a pre-shave this morning as my Proraso has run out and it's getting too expensive and hard to get. Also trying the Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion for the first time. I have been using the GB body lotion which has a significant amount of menthol in it and gives that cooling effect. This Ultimate Lotion doesn't have the menthol so, I'm not sure if I'll like it as much. At any rate, trying new things....;)
The Torrey is a singing blade and feels like shaving with a thin unprotected double edge blade. It leaves no whisker behind though and is really smooth when controlled. It's thin shoulderless blade has a lot of flex which makes using it exciting to say the least. :D

    Cream: Cella
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Jack Black gel, Old Spice Lime (Shulton) Traveler 1976 - 1978

The FB is so good I'm using it the rest of the month, and it will help me work on my technique. With a fresh Feather it's magic. The Erskine badger whipped up the Cella in no time with the OS mug sitting in hot water in the sink. Nothing like that scent. WTG XTG on my face and neck on 6. ATG XTG on my neck and upper lip on 5, for a smooth shave. Hot water rinse, pat dry and a splash of Thayers Cucumber WH. After cleanup some JB gel and vintage OS tha I got from my father in law, what a guy. Off to my yearly physical. Go get yours!

Great shave today, still struggling with the horse, just a little scratchy. I think a person could learn to like it.

That's what I did with the first ever original Glacial tester puck I received. At the beginning I was struggling to get it to lather and at one point I was ready to give it up for hopeless, but then I read an article on another wetshaving forum which Rod had said about the soap needing an extra long curing period. It turned out his suggestion made perfect sense because of the extra-high menthol content and the other ingredients this soap contains. When I tried it again a month later, the lather exploded beautifully and continued to perform great for me. Rod sure knows what he's talking about! ;)

    SEptember 17's Cold Water Shave

    Dove Men's Face Wash
    Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Schick I1
    NOS Gillette Platinum Plus
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Pinaud Clubman AS

The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Schick I1 and Gillette Platinum Plus blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
