@Jayaruh , you gotta love The Fat! I found that it lathers easy with a semogue myself.

Yep, love The Fat. I am blessed with good water here. I face-lather with cold water and have no problems. I load my brush for about 30 seconds and go to it. I have plenty left over after two lather/passes.

I find that with a Feather blade less pressure is needed, this may be the same with your blade especially with your slant.

    Wednesday morning shave

Sorry for the delay getting this posted.

    RazoRock Fresco SC
    Simpsons 46B shave brush
    EJ 89L razor
    7AM Hi Platinum blade
    Alum block
    TSD Commando Cocktail sample

Close shave although not really comfortable. Razor wanted to tug more than I like, gave myself a nick on the chin. Will try the same setup tomorrow morning and see if the experience is any better. If not, time to move on to a different blade.

    SEptember 18's Cold Water Shave

    Dove Men's Face Wash
    Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
    Semogue 1305 Boar Brush
    Schick I1
    NOS Gillette Platinum Plus
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Schick I1 and Gillette Platinum Plus blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Our water is on the hard side but I've never had any problem lathering the Fat, face or bowl.

    Wednesday Night Shave Club

    Pre: Hot water
    Razor: Gem G-Bar
    Blade: Gem SS
    Brush: Omega 10049
    Cream: Proraso Red
    After: Pinaud Clubman

Good shave, I think it will be the last for this blade. I forgot how many it's been, but coming up on almost a week, I think. Better safe than sorry, eh? Really made a mess of the lather, no idea how that happened as Proraso's one of the easiest to lather.

Omelmad My printer email address is..........

    Shave of the day

    Pre- Hot shower

Soap/cream- The body shop Maca Root shave cream

    Brush- The body shop Synthetic

    Razor- Gillette slim adjustable (3)

    Blade- Astra SP(2)

Post- Cold water rinse, Old Spice whitewater and Nivea aftershave balm

First time using The body shop synthetic. First impression is that its a bit stiff. It has soft tips and alot of backbone. My only other synthetic is the Plisson from loccitane which feels VERY luxurious. So at first I thought that the body shop brush was a downgrade. After lathering up the maca root cream I realize that the brush is not really a downgrade but a good addition to the collection because i think it will be better for hard soaps than the plisson but stil be soft to the tips.

It was Easy to lather the cream with it, no problem at all! I think it will soften up a bit when the bristles takes on a rounder shape.(the bristles are not perfectly round like the plisson, probably from packaging, doesnt really show). I know synthetics doesnt break in or anything and I really like this brush as it is!

I got a GREAT shave with the Slim adjustable again. Im starting to really love the razor. And also, I really need to use this shave cream more often =D

@tuxxdk and @ChiefShaver, here are my thoughts about the brush. Feel Free to ask questions if something isnt clear =)

Nice shave today without any problems and still without too much effort because my Sharp blade is still holding up very well. The Proraso Green soap is the older version, and it lathered up richly and easily for me. The cooling effect was very enjoyable as well and it gave me pretty good skincare also. I suggest this Lubriderm moisturizer for anybody who has sensitive skin because it's really soothing and protective. The Floid Classic aftershave smells very nice and traditional, and it gives a great menthol kick. ;) :D
