The Brush B-3 by Tom, Badger
    Schick Golden 500
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. I did two passes with the Schick Golden 500 Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The razor that I keep kicking myself over time and again for not using more frequently. It is just that good. Yes, it was designed to use a Wedge blade but, with a GEM installed it’s a dream to use. Just a fantastic razor that provides a world class shave surpassing some modern and many vintage GEM style razors. But, that’s just my opinion. Have a great day and great shaves Gents... ;)

    Thursday morning's line-up:

    C. W. Beggs Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Wilkinson day 5
    Reitzer SS
    Lubriderm Moisturizer
    Booster Polar Ice AS Splash

It's so hard for me to stay away from my South African soaps - the Reitzer has such a nice scent and does it ever lather like a champ. Its skincare is also excellent. The Polar Ice from the Booster company is a Canadian barbershop classic!

That Polar Ice by Booster is a force to be reckoned with. My brother loves him a facial freeze and gave me a sample to try some time back. It took me about half an hour for my jaw to thaw out and close. But, it gave a great face feel and toning was excellent.

I’m not a big menthol user, so a smidge of menthol makes me reach for my sheepskin jacket. Plus, you’re the menthol Olympian. Nothing Freezes you over.... almost. :smiley freezing: :smiley respect:

    THURSDAY'S SHAVE

Bath Soap - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
    [IMG]
Razor - Antique Gillette ABC "Empire" Razor circa 1908-1912 (fully restored/re-plated in rhodium by Razor Emporium)
    Blade - [IMG] *5th Shave
Shave Brush - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection fitted with Synthetic Knot manufactured by Frank Shaving (replaced by jimjo1031)
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Cream
Post Shave Balm - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food
Deodorant - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
Fragrance - Ralph Lauren Safari EDT

***EDIT - This was the best shave I got from the ABC Razor thus far. Although the shave didn't feel perfect during the shave itself and just like the times before, the razor seems to have an incorrect/inefficient blade angle and I have to constantly keep in mind what angle I'm at (I don't have to do this with my other razors except the Dave Ocean one). Despite the way the shave seemed to feel during the shave itself, the post-shave is really good. It's BBS. I was afraid that I would get post-shave irritation, so I sprayed on some of The Shave Den's mentolated Witch Hazel immediately after rinsing off the lather and before the post-shave balm. I think the menthol helped calm the skin because the shave had more friction than I wanted.

Overall a solid B++ shave, only a very minor weeper on my most problematic Adam's Apple area on my neck. I think the mentholated TSD Witch Hazel saved the shave. I will need to continue to shave with the ABC razor more often so that I can master the angle and tendencies. I will likely add pre-shave oil next time. I know I listed it above, but I thought since I was using the shave-cream soap that it would be more protective. Apparently I need more protection when using this sweet looking relic from the the past.
