I have enough SE razors for the month, but only 2 Stirling soaps, one aftershave and one balm. Should be enough for the month.

This blade is a surprise performer, less feedback than the Feather but some, yet minimal nicking, great blade. Soap a good lather'er as well.

    September 7

Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb - OCMM
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Mountain Man
Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic
    Finish - Alum

Something is up with this blade and I think I know what it is. I dropped it while loading it and saw as it landed in the sink. It hit the spine on the original hit but when I went to pick it up it had settled on the drain. I suspect the metal drain did a little number on the edge. Definitely a rough shave, though not horrible. Just enough to leave the alum burning a bit and a low-end DFS for the finish. Not what this blade is capable of. I may try to strop it for tomorrow and see if it will improve or it may get tossed in favor of a new one that I will be more careful with when loading.

Whatever the issue I didn't draw blood, nor did I have any other real problems. The OCMM did its job quite well on a two pass and touch up and the Mountain Man soap left me in good spirits from the scent. It reminds me of Nautica - one of my favorite colognes from days gone by. Very nice indeed.

I did a little over 8 hours of GrubHub work today and it's raining cats and dogs. I'm a bit more tired than usual, visibility out there sucks and everybody driving is an idiot in this stuff. I'll be staying in for the remainder of the evening. Enjoy the beginning of your weekend!

Curious here but how do those "lather catchers" shave? Aggressive, medium aggressive or somewhat middle of the Gillette shaving world road? :)

    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Weber ARC
    Blade: Wizamet Polsilver
Brush: 'Papa Chub' (Chubby 3 Manchurian)
    Soap: Mike's Natural
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / RazoRock Aftershave Wax

the Weber/Wizamet Polsilver gave a wonderfully smooth, BBS shave... this blade could well end up being my fave for the Weber... 'Papa Chub' is always a pleasure to use.. Simpsons Manchurian, and 2 Band really are in a class of their own.. a fantastic start to my week.

    Friday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Merkur 34C HD
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
    Brush: Rough,No Name Boar
    Soap: Lisa's Natural: Orange clove
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux: Bon Vivant Post Shave Toner

the Merkur/Super Iridium gave an outstanding shave, with Lisa's Natural (old version) providing the lather... and I must admit, that I'm very tempted to give the new soaps a whirl, after such an impeccable performance..

    Mitchell's Wool Fat
The Brush B-3 by Tom, Badger
    Lee Mfg. 5/8
    CWR
    Pinaud Clubman Vanilla AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. I did two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
