    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20180910_092948.jpg

Prep: Occams Crushed Lime Pre Shave Soap
    Razor: Icon X3, Gillette Tech
    Blade: Gillette Rubie (2nd shave)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Soap: Stirling Gentleman
    Post: SC Fortitude balm

Pretty nice shave this morning. Really like the scent of Stirling Gentleman, it is a strong masculine refined fall scent. Lather went well, but didnt get the same creamy dense consistancy as the older Stirling soaps i have, which may be due to the water over here. Anyways, still managed a decent shave despite a few nicks.

    Prep: Pre Shave Soap Mix

    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm Synthetic
Soap: Grooming Dept- Concord D Oro
    Post: Stirling Arkadia Balm

Perfect shave yesterday. Grooming Dept is one of the top performing soaps IMO and this one is a symphony of citrus scents that is bright and fresh. Scent paired beautifuly with the Arkadia balm. Just a all around refreshing shave. Hope everyone had a similar experience!

I would have thought Gentleman might work as a winter scent, too.

Better result with this blade using a better soap, but definitely feel others work better for me.

    SEptember is a Stirling month!

    September 10

Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb - OCMM
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Gatlinburg
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Finish - Alum

Beating the time line by minutes! But no warping required tonight. This marks the fifth shave with the OCMM and the third on the Treet blade. The blade is still very smooth and performing well. the OCMM, well, it's still a beast. It managed to bite me just as I started the first pass. I have no idea what really happened. I think I was holding a bit too much angle on the set down but whatever it was the blood showed up long enough to allow my shame to be evident. Actually, with this razor, there's no shame in a little blood every now and then. It just seems to come with the territory. Even total SE pros like @wchnu have said as much.

The Gatlinburg soap is a different scent and one that I have gone back and forth on. The soap itself, of course, is just plain Stirling excellent in performance. The scent is rather complicated, at least to me, and I thought it was a hint of pine that might be bothering me. It does include Cedar, which normally works very well for me, but no pine. Hmmmmm. Oh well. It's not a horrible scent, just probably not one I'll buy more than a sample of. Speaking of samples - I need to pick out a few more of his scents I haven't tried and give them a go.

Monday is in the books! It's been relatively quiet here but that's ok. Tuesday is nearly here. I can count the minutes! Have a great night and a better tomorrow!

I use the top shelf of my bedroom closet to put most of it and a shelf next to the closet with all my colognes and fragrances displayed on it.

Feather Hi-Stainless. It's the only blade that seems to survive the poor angle of the razor. For some reason only the sharpest blades hold up in this ancient shaving device. The original 3-piece Old-Type is very different and superior to the ABC 3-piece version. Totally different angles and both shave better with different blades. The ABC razor, although one of my worst shavers, is by far the best looking of my collection. I have to always be mindful of my angle and still have yet to get a perfect shave out of it. All my other razors shave great. I might just need to use this more often to get good at it.
