I spent several hours this morning honing a Thiers Issard razor that had intimidated be from a honing standpoint until today. (I bought it from a guy on a BST who said it was it shaved him poorly.) Victory and an excellent shave ensued.

Don't know why I've neglected this razor for a long time, but it won't happen again. Two passes and touch up for a very smooth BBS shave.

The Merkur performed better with this cream, but still blade feel for what they go for, the scent is a winner though, looking forward to the soap arriving.

Tonight's shave was with an Old Wedge. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. No touch-ups. Big, Heavy, Sharp, and well made.

Razor- George Wostenholm & Son's Celebrated IXL Razor. Washington Works, Sheffield.
Brush- Omega 10098 Boar
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood Scented
Aftershave- Florida Water.

I just received WCS - Oriental. The rose note in the scent seems identical to the rose note in Catie's Bubbles - Royal Garden, however there is an added set of wood notes.

***EDIT - Great shave today overall. A tiny bit of irritation on the same old sensitive spot near my Adam's Apple, but that is virtually always my own fault. 2-pass + cleanup a nice result. The Cold Spices Scent from PAA really complements any Old Spice version, whether it's the super ancient Early American Old Spice or the well known old version, all the way to the new Proctor & Gamble reformulation.

 

I'll be wearing "The One EDP" this winter as often as I can rotate it. Love this one.

Prep: Occams Crushed Lime pre shave soap
Razor: Icon X3, Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette Rubie
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Soap: Dapper Dragon Scylla
Post: shower with RR Thermal Mud bath soap

Todays shave was a bit interesting, first time in a while where i showered after shaving. There was no ill effects or burning from soap or water. The shave went well, Scylla has a fresh soapy floral scent that paired well with the RR Thermal Mud. Also have to add that the RR bath soaps are excellent quality and value. They produce a abundance of lather to boot.
