    Sunday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 5
    RVT Roseline SS
    CutiBase Moisturizer
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut AS Splash
    Brut EdT

Lately I’ve been revisiting soaps and creams that I’ve been neglecting for a long time - today I wanted to show my brother Mo’s soaps some love so I selected his Roseline. The scent of this one is actually very nice - it’s a very old school, manly rosy scent which is based on the discontinued Williams shaving stick, it’s a vegan based soap and it gives excellent lather with a very comfortable postshave feeling. The CutiBase moisturizer is unscented and it works so well as a balm so it’s a godsend for sensitive skin. The Brut aftershave stings a bit for a second or two but then it feels so good, and the scent is so me - in other words it’s so old school the way I love it. A couple of sprays of the matching eau de toilette and I’m ready to go. My Tech/Wilkinson Sword combination gave me a dynamite BBS shave!

Enjoy your Sunday - be well and safe!

    Sunday Shave

Lather: Sterling Naked and Smooth soap
    Brush: Ever Ready
    Razor: Simple Clean Shave SCS
    Blade: Tatra
    Post: witch hazel and aloe

I have been trying blades in the SCS razor to find what works best for me. First blade was Wizamet, which was not the best, next was Nacet, which was better. Today I tried Tatra, which is my favorite in the Henson. That blade was excellent in the SCS. I had a smooth, comfortable shave with no drama.

Sunday Schick shave, September 4th 2022

Razor : Schick adjustable injector M3- MFG 1970-72, excellent adjustable, well designed and built, for regular blades I like to set the aggression range 2-3 but with the Kai Protouch blade you can crank it up to 7-9 no problem because of the guard protection.
Blade : Modified Kai Protouch (4) excellent designed blade, sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade.
Soap : Razorock "The Dead Sea"- very unique appealing scent, with excellent lather qualities. One of my favorite soaps.
Brush : Yaqi Artic sky 24 mm Silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow soft tips, nice splay scrubber, excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock "The Dead Sea" splash[IMG] with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG]Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector with a modified Kai Protouch blade.
    [IMG]Have some great shaves!

Closed out(for now)the Edge Magnificent Goo/Mennen Skin Bracer this morning. One pass. Very well-done. I focused on some areas that didn't feel good before the shave(Each end of North Porcupine Alley, and that good ol' right side jawline under the ear.). Success:). No cuts, Knicks, or Red Polka-dots, Finished with Mutamayez cologne(House of Swiss Arabian) Outta This World Excellent. Back to soaps-shaving next week.

    Hi Friends,

    Here my Sunday Shave (04.09,2022)

    027D03F3-77BB-4F5E-9821-B4D77C2B787E.jpeg
Razor: RazoRock Lupo SS .95 // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra // Soap: Soap Commander Fortitude // Brush: Shavemac 173 Synthetic // Aftershave: mentholated CH Pitralon

What a fantastic shave. I thought i have had great shaves with the Lupo using Gillette Wilkinson India, now i know that it get´s better. What a fantastic combo. Extremely thoroughly and gentle at the same time. Smooth like a hot knife through butter, 2 Passes were all i needed to get absolutely BBS. No irritation, nicks, cuts whatsoever.

The brush is my new favorite brush. Bought just the handle from Shavemac because i love that „Thäter“-style. I was not aware, that Shavemac produces this shape for Thäter. Additionally i bought this Plisson-type knot from Maggard’s. Glued it in myself. Now i have these fantastic softness of the tips and exactly the backbone which i love. This makes it damn near perfect for me.

Soap Commander…you know i am a Soap Commander Fanboy…this scent is straight outta heaven. So gentleman like…a healthy amount of Pipe tobacco, Leather (for my nose) and you can definitely smell the mentioned Hay. Great!!! The brush had no problems whipping up tons of that creamy goodness.

At the end i ´ve used my mentholated Swiss Pitralon. The skincare is absolutely top notch and with this hot temperatures here in Germany Menthol is always a good idea.

Loved this shave and i am still stunned due to the combination of razor and blade. Wow…

    This is it for now.

Enjoy your shaves, take your time and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Micromatic Menthol Monday! MMOC with a fresh blade! Pleasant 2-passer with cleanup. I had to work a bit to get close on my neck/jawline and so, got a little bit of tingle from the alum bar but not bad at all. I have to work harder to get that area and thusly, give myself a bit of irritation. Nothing like what I used to get when I first started. Very pleasant shave!

Razor - MMOC open comb Micromatic with TEETH!
Blade - fresh GEM Personna SS
    Pre-shave - Proraso Green menthol
    Soap - Chiseled Face "Cryogen"
    Brush - Simpson "Commodore"
Post shave - Thayers toner "Rose Petal" & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food" (sandalwood)
AS - Pinaud Clubman "Virgin Island Bay Rum"

Washed face and warmed bowl & brush. I may have added a bit too much water as I got the soap a bit soupy but, it worked fine. 2-pass shave with cleanup got me super close! I can feel the blade with this razor but it is pleasant. No cuts, nicks, or errors to report. My right jawline gives me trouble prolly due to the angle I hold the razor. It is kinda awkward so, I can't get as close in 2 passes there. Left is fine. Just my right jawline. I did get it close today! Alum bar gave me minor feedback on neck. I mark this one down as an excellent shave!

    C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger

The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable and a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Menthol Monday:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 6
    Stirling Glacial Citron SS
    Prep ASB
    Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash
    YSL Pour Homme EdT

Damn, my face is so frozen that it’s going to need all day to thaw out after all this menthol. The pre shave soap is pretty chilly but this Glacial Citron soap…….friggin WOWWWWWWW, it feels like liquid nitrogen on your face. The scent is so beautiful - lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a bit of tangerine all come together to make this smell so refreshing, the lather works up so easily not to mention how rich, creamy, and slick it is, the menthol sensation really jumps on you right from the get-go, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Glacial Citron aftershave completed the job superbly. The YSL Pour Homme edt was a gift from my lovely sister-in-law when she was in Paris last year - it’s a gorgeous fragrance which I get a lot of compliments on when I wear it. Three passes gave me a helluva cracking good BBS shave!

Happy Labour Day to everyone in Canada and the US!

    Be well and safe!
