Razor : Gem Micromatic OC- Mfg 1930-41, excellent mid - mid upper range, well designed to last, first TTO mass produced razor in the world(4 years a head of Gillette) and has a rack and pinion mechanism to tighten the blade against the blade stops(genius design) and just a joy to use the 3 different main variants of Gem Micromatics.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock "Santa Maria del Fiore" nice vanilla & light tobacco scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Viper 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair ends, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Gem MMOC + a Gem coated blade.

    Today's shave: Menthol Thursday

Gillette Slim razor - set on 4
daylogic (Personna Israel) blade - 5th shave
    C. O. Bigelow (Proraso) cream
    RazoRock Snowman brush
daylogic (Vi-John) Arctic Blue aftershave lotion

Shave quality: BBS! No nicks, weepers, or irritation. 9 out of 10 on the comfort scale. A superb shave all 'round.

When I started wetshaving back in 2008, my first experience with "the good stuff" was with this very tube of Proraso. What a revelation it was back then...and what a joy it is today to revisit this classic cream. My skin felt so nice after the shave I could've skipped using aftershave. Truly, it's a shaving product that everyone should try at least once.

Normally, these Personna Israel blades are spent by the 4th shave, but this particular blade is still sharp and smooth, and will return for a 6th appearance tomorrow. The first shave with this blade was with goopy, hard-to-rinse Burt's Bees brushless cream--perhaps traces of Burt's are still coating and protecting this blade.

The Palmolive Shaving Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable and a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday morning:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 10
    Stirling Frozen Tundra SS
    Prep ASB
Reef Point Fougère Santal AS Splash
    Lagerfeld Classic EdT

This setup is almost cold enough to call it a Grand Freeze. The Frozen Tundra is Stirling’s second coldest soap after the Glacials and it’s beautifully scented with peppermint, wintergreen, as well as earthy notes, it’s got awesome lather with lots of slickness thanks to the tallow formula, the menthol sensation is really strong - ok, it won’t make your eyes tear or your nose run but it still gives lots of chill along with the typical great Stirling skincare. The Prep soothed, cooled, and moisturized my skin even more while the Fougère Santal aftershave gave me a powerful menthol kick - not only that, it smells so gorgeous but it doesn’t disrupt any fragrance I wear. Three glorious passes gave me such a dynamite BBS shave that was so much fun!

Enjoy the weekend - be well and safe!

Razor - Hawk v3 (new barber pole handle)
Blade - Feather Professional 2nd use
Soap - Castle Forbes Lavender cream
    Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
Post shave - Thayers toner "Lavender" (new) & Captain's Choice Venture AS Balm
    AS Pinaud Clubman - Vanilla

Washed face while I warmed the bowl & brush with HOT water. This cream soap lathers very easy. Love the scent! I did a 2-pass with minimal cleanup WTG & ATG. Back to smooth again! The Hawk with the standard plate is very efficient and it really does tame the Professional blades to the point of being mild. Simply amazing! No cuts, nicks, or weepers! Alum was silent today.

Razor : Razorock Wunderbar slant with a modified Micromatic handle, Mfg 2017>, mid to upper mid range, excellent slant, excellent machining quality control, light touch with steep angle(riding the bar) will give stellar shaves, it will bite if technique is sloppy or half a sleep.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP(2) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Haslinger Schafmilch, nice mild clean scent with excellent lather qualities, another tub used up. Great soap IMO.
Brush : Yaqi deep stones 24mm boss synthetic, great lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Post shave : Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 nick weeper operator error =[IMG] excellent shave with my RR Wunderbar with a 7oClock SP.

This razor bit me hard one time and I tend to avoid it. I may be out of practice with it as the shave was not as pleasant as I’d like but I can’t argue with the result. :happy088:

    Today's shave: Funday Friday

    Gillette Slim L3 (1966) - setting 3
BiC Chrome Platinum blade - 1st shave
Mama Bear's Aromatic Pipe Tobacco soap
    Klenzo B75 150 brush
    Ursa's Special Reserve aftershave lotion*

A 100-pack of BiC Platinum Chrome blades unexpectedly arrived early today, so, being Funday Friday, I gave 'em a whirl!

Shave Quality: Very good but not great. Played it safe today with my Slim set on 3 rather than the usual 4, and paid a bit of a price in terms of closeness. Ended up with a tiny nick just under my nose.

Shave Comfort: 8 out of 10. Generally smooth shave today with a slight drag WTG on my right cheek, and again going ATG just under my lower lip. If past performance is any indicator, I'll get a smoother shave next time.

I've got a 12-pack of glass hot sauce bottles coming for my aftershaves. Until then, this handy little cruet does just fine for my custom mixtures.

    * 50/50 blend of Dollar General Classic (Vi-John Brut)/Barbasol Brisk aftershave with a splash of Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum added.
