*Actuallly two things about the soap1)-it's part of Fine's new "21st Century"lineup. 2)-Latigo is Fine's dupe of Austria's Knize 10 soap(1925) (Note-the Latigo A.S. is not listed as "21st Century" but I think it SHOULD be).
**--Gillette itself began in 1900, not sure when the DisposABLE razor began(possibly in 1949 when its shaving cream began).

 

Looking nice, the Yaqi Romulus seems to be liked by folks. How was the shave? I have a Yaqi excalibur 50mm and enjoy using it, tame mid range I find my sweet spot.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation or (V2) Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi Teardrop handle- Mfg 2023>, tame mid range to mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC with good design double open comb. This razor is a blast from the past(Grand shave king) that really had a good design but never caught on. The dual comb is suppose to pick up some water after each rinsing and will rejuvenate the lather for better protection was the orginal concept. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette silver blue, sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my books.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeers rapier, nice scented musk scent(Aramis clone) with excellent lather qualities. Very nice scent that can be addictive at first.
Brush : Yaqi " Moka express" 26mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. Big HD knot 2band badger in a nice looking handle, 2band badger brushes are excellent for shaving needs IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent stellar comfortable close shave with my Yaqi Mellon head razor V2 with a GSB blade.

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Wrights Coal Tar Bar Soap.
Brush: Semogue 1470.
Face Lather.
Frankensoap: Erasmic Shaving Soap+Cussons Imperial Leather Bar Soap+Van Der Hagen Scented Luxury Shaving Soap.
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D2)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Blue Stratos ASL./ Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

It’s been a long time since I last used my Lyko cream so I wanted to go with it this morning and I’m so happy that I did because it’s very nice. I love its aquatic/minty scent, a small dab on both cheeks is enough for thick, rich, slick lather, it gives a mild but pleasant menthol sensation, and it’s very skin friendly. In India where it’s from it’s very cheap and it’s also very popular in barbershops. The Prep delivered so generously on the moisturizing and soothing, the Alt Innsbruck aftershave went on icy cold along with its delightful old school European scent that I love so much but it moves out of the way for the gorgeous Aramis fragrance. Two passes cleaned me up so well - what a great BBS shave this was!

The La Toja Shave Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #292 High Mtn White badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AC-Matic by Roger Quintero and a Feather AC Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sorry I have not replied before now but I wanted to get a second shave in with the Romulus before I commented.

I love it. It has been a while since I have shaved with the zinc version but I like this version a lot better. Blade alignment is spot on. The fit and finished rivals anything in my den.

It is a very efficient razor and seem to be a notch above the zinc version as far as efficiency. It is very smooth and handle is comfortable. I thought it would be a problem to hang on to but that has not been the case.

I caught this one on sale plus I had some coins on Aliexpress and it is well worth what I paid.

Go ahead and pull the trigger...you will not be disappointed.
