This week I am using my J.A. Henckels with a newly sharpened wedge (Sharpened by Tom White). This is also the first time I have used this new brush. The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Badger/Boar brush. I stropped the blade really good. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and a J.A. Henckels wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh la la it just doesn’t get any colder or better than this - the menthol power of this Absolute Zero soap and aftershave is off the charts just like any of the Stirling Glacials. The scent is so nice - it’s aquatic with minty notes, the soap’s vegan formula gives it AWESOME lather that has tons of slickness, the freeze starts immediately and it gets stronger with each pass, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep gave me lots of additional postshave care, and the Absolute Zero aftershave toner went on frigidly cold with lots of soothing as well as moisturizing. Finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready for the new week. Three passes with my Canadian Tech which was loaded with a brand new Astra Green blade gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was so much fun!

Shave of the Week Starting 9/18/2023

The SNMIRN razor has a slightly weird name but it works very well for me. I got this one a few years ago and it was only $9.99 shipped to me. At that price I thought it would be low quality but, surprisingly, it's pretty nice. A bit heavy but pretty well balanced and gives me a fine, comfortable, close shave. I like it. The RazoRock Plissoft brush is not my favorite, don't care for the handle but it works well. Great lather from the Yardley as always. So my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

A very nice 2 pass shave this morning getting rid of a few days growth. Summer is coming to an end, so I will end up putting away the Orange Chill for another winter. This will be finish my 2nd summer with this puck of soap.

Razor : Gem Clog Pruf (Peerless, SB=17 nubs model)- Mfg 1945, mid range. Excellent design to last generations. All brass construction and reasonably smooth shaving. Had a excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Gillette pure cream, nice clean scent with some of the best lather qualities a person needs. Make excellent ubber lather also.
Brush : Yaqi " lucky dice" 26mm tuxedo synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Gem Clog Pruf (Peerless model) with a Gem coated blade.
