Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with a Milano 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>,tame mid range. Simple clamping system, small head parts (I lay base plate over a wash cloth when installing a blade works great). This little affordable razor has found a permanent spot in my weekly razor rotation over the years. Bottom line it just ticks all the boxes off for shaving my beard type it seems. Great stellar comfortable close shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30, sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Great match with the Yaqi Excalibur over time it seems.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream, very nice rose fragrance 6/10 scent strength that fades quickly + excellence in lather qualities I have noticed with the CRS creams over the years. Their herbal Sandalwood is excellent also.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs""26mm timber wolf synthetic. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This brush was bought on sale and it is one of the best brushes in my harem of brushes, why Yaqi went with the 26mm standard Husky knot is beyond me. I think was a marketing sampler possibly of ten that where made.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian Barber=(Razorock) Amici splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.

Here my belated Wednesday shave (27.09.2023)

Our vacation is over and we are back home…vacation could have last 2 or 3 weeks more. I miss it even now…

Bought the razor in our vacation so this has been the first use. A fantastic razor. Extremely smooth, gentle and thoroughly. Especially in combination with this blade, which is definitely one of the best blades i have come across.

I adore the scent of the Felce Aromatica so much…this can be my alltime favorite scent of shaving soaps. The lather was cushiony and thick and slick as always. Top notch soap.

After 2,5 passes i was completely BBS and the Pitralon Classic with it´s wooden notes should be the Aftershave of choice. No regrets. Only the tiniest amount of stinging after applying the Aftershave. Wonderful.

Here are some pics of our last tour we did on our vacation. It is called „Breitachklamm“. You can google it or watch some videos on YouTube. Such a magical place…i was speechless when we walked through it.









We will be there next year again. Cannot wait…

The Col Conk Amber Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #447 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick I Hydro-magic and Personna injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Damnnnnnnnn, am I ever frozen stiff from this shave - the Absolute Zero soap and aftershave are competition for any of the Stirling Glacials in terms of menthol power. The scent is so nice, the soap provides awesome lather with tons of slickness, the menthol sensation hits like a sledgehammer, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The matching aftershave toner can freeze your face to smithereens, and you get fantastic moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Snake Bite aftershave is another menthol atom bomb. Finally the delightful Bleu de Chanel fragrance that I love so much and I’m good to go. Three glorious passes gave me such a beautiful BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!
