MMMonday, ASRazor shave, September 23, 2024

Razor : Ever-ready 1924 or (AKA =shovel head). Mfg 1924-33, mid range. This razor works well but loading a blade is different because it placed in the back and cap is hinged in the front. I do use a RIGS shim (spent Gem aluminum spline flattened and placed under the new blade spline to mock the older thicker splined blades). They sold a lot of 1924 SE razors when looking for one on E-Bay is no problem. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Speick stick, very enjoyable mild spicy scent with some of the best lather qualities I have used.
Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari" 24mm boar bristle hair knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristles, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite boar brushes for face feel when lathering.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Ever-ready 1924 with a coated Gem blade.

Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Cella Da Barba.
Razor: Parker Variant. (Setting 3.) - Treet Platinum. (D1)
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head) - (D1)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Original ASL./Boots Freshwood ASB.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 Two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard (1921) Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 (12) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Last few days I've been fighting a cold. I'm now just starting to feel better. Today was a much needed shave and I enjoyed it very much.

Razor : Razorock Lupo.72, Mfg and released Jan 2021,mid range. Excellent design, machining + finish QC. Ticks all the boxes for a excellent shave for my self. It is just up to the operator to find his technique that works best and what gap to use IMO.
Had a excellent stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7 oClock SP(2) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild rose cream, nice rosy scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 24mm snow leopard knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. It is hard to beat a synthetic brush for paint lathering and especially this one.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber(Razorock) Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette 7 oClock SP blade.

Did I ever enjoy the Vintage Spice soap and aftershave this morning - the scent is so awesome, the soap lathers like a champ, there’s tons of slickness from it, and the postshave feeling is wonderful - my brother Fernando nailed it perfectly with this one. The Bull Dog moisturizer is so soothing, and the Vintage Spice aftershave went on with its delightful scent and with no stinging or burning because it’s witch hazel based. Three passes did the job for me - a super duper BBS shave that was so much fun!
