Not only does this Glacial Mango Sunrise feel like liquid nitrogen on my skin and lather like a maniac it smells so beautiful. Along with the mango scent I catch other notes such as cream and a bit of musk - what a delightful scent. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so good as a balm, and the Northern Elixir aftershave is another menthol atom bomb with a nice peppermint/eucalyptus scent. Finally the Givenchy Pour Homme fragrance which I received two years ago - it smells aquatic and fresh. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max!

Shave of the Week Starting 9/30/2024

Razor - Colonial CR7
Blade - GSB

Cream - Lea Menthol
Balm - Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
A/S - Various

Colonial Razors have recently released the CR7 and just had to have one. It's available with 3 different base plates and I got all 3. Started with #1 base plate which is the mildest and it is very very mild for me. The shave was good but had to do an extra pass and lots of touchup. I usually do a 2 pass shave with minimal touchup. So I think plate #1 is not for me so will go with #2 tomorrow and see how it goes. Now go enjoy your day folks.

ASRazor shave or MMMonday, September 30th 2024

Razor : Ever-Ready 1914 or (AKA= L.L.C). Mfg 1914-17, mid range. Interesting design and excellent stamping technology for it timeline. The audio feedback is enjoyable for myself + I'm usually rewarded with a close comfortable shave like this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del fiore croap, nice scented Vanilla tobacco(addictive) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi"Moka express" 26mm 2band badger. excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.Big handle for a large nice enjoyable 2band knot for my general shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Ever-Ready 1914 SE razor with a coated Gem blade.
