Here my Shave of the Day (21.09.2025)


Razor: RazoRock Daily + // Blade: Gillette yellow // Soap: Bundubeard Rooi Afrikaner // Brush: Yaqi Moka // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera Gel

What a wonderful shave this was. I received a package with 7 soaps from Bundubeard and the RazoRock Daily + was included in this package. All soaps and the razor are on loan, but hey, i am extremely glad and humbled that this person thought for me. Now i have the chance to give these outstanding soaps a test as well as the razor.

Both performed stunningly today. The lather was creamy and had tons of glide and cushion. The scent is for my nose not describable but it is very pleasant. The razor is very smooth and gentle, yet very thoroughly. Great razor so far.

To end the shave i used Witch Hazel followed by Aloe Vera Gel. Very refreshing.

A 10 out of 10

Today’s shave was my first with my brand new Wolfman WR3 in Ti and I went to one of my favorite artisans new limited holiday release Adopted Acres Sanderson Sisters - Mary finished off with Binx!

This is my first Wolfman. I have a Guerrilla aluminum razor and it is one of my favorites so I know how great their razors can be. This arrived (with a few hiccups) to my door tariff-free as they are covered under USMCA! I love GEM razors so when I chose a WR3. And have been on a light kick so titanium was also the choice. I went with the .55 gap and I chose basic polish. First this razor is gorgeous! The basic polish shines so bright I had to watch when taking pictures of it. And what a shave! I love a SE shave especially a GEM blade! Smooth, efficient, and maneuverable it took down three days stubble as if there was none hair. Amazing! Only one shave in this may be the new top razor in the den!

Adopted Acres has done it again, as always, with the Sanderson Sisters Trio! Mary is the first I’ve used and it’s fantastic! Warm, a little spicy and all fall this really sets up the coming season. And Binx being the accompanying aftershave for all three sisters is so cool. And I smell amazingly seasonal! WOW! Awesome stuff!

Shave Stick



Sticking to the Tuckaway again with a 2 day growth while I try a fresh new blade each day, minimising variables. That said I did skip the pre-shave routine.

2 Days growth

Prep: Cold water shave
Soap = Wilkinson shave stick
Brush = Semogue Pegasus
Face lather
Razor = Tuckaway
Blade = Wilkinson (1) Made in China
Passes = 3
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
ASB = L’Occitane
ASL = Blue Stratos
Scent = Blue Stratos
Damage = None

Three passes needed to complete the shave: either due to skipping my usual Pre-shave routine, or, somewhat more likely, due this blade not being the keenest. To be honest it felt a bit rough and and needed careful supervision. Either way, success was had, and no damage to report.

Delightful start to the week.. The Snmirn has a weird name but works very well indeed. Got it a few years ago at $9.99 delivered and thought that it might be ok. No, it's a pretty darn good shaver that I like. Don't use it enough but maybe that will change. It's got good heft to it and lately I'm favoring lighter razors. Anyway, great shave and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

The Lea Menthol Shave Cream was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #454 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem G-Bar and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

*This is a different version of the Citrus Melody soap which my dear brother Fernando made for me - the regular one is very cold but this one that I used today is something like FIVE times colder. It’s so intense that it passes the Stirling Glacials and the Chiseled Face Cryogen or even the Absolute Zero from Captain Nemo. This version is also tallow based, it has the same lovely citrusy scent, it takes a bit more of an effort to get the lather right but with a little patience and some extra water your face will be buried, the menthol sensation is borderline painful, (in a good way of course!) and it’s so skin friendly. The Stoffel balm and the Citrus Melody aftershave intensified the freeze big time. Finally the beautiful Eau Sauvage fragrance topped it all off. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave with an insane menthol assault!
