    Saturday:
    soak brush/Semogue 620/DB Brush Scuttle
    hot shower
    Proraso PrePost cream
Mama Bear's Ye Olde Barbershoppe shave stick
    Schick G/Schick Blade (6)
    warm water rinse
    Monster Block Alum
    warm water rinse
    Thayer's Lemon WH
HBG Bay Rum mixed with a small amount of 444

I think today's shave was the best I've gotten from any Schick I own.I did my normal 2 pass face,1 pass head,BBS all around.I'll have to check out the Pella coated injector blades,to me it seems that the Chinese Schick blades are not consistant, even in the same pack.Just in this pack I've had 2 duds, not counting the duds in the other packs I've bought. This blade is perfect,I've had 6 great shaves from it so far.

Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue ASL

Don't know why I used the Menthol SC and ASL this morning as I am going on a motorcycle ride and the temp is 46F! I guess if I freeze my face before the ride I won't feel anything when the cool breeze turns my face into an iceburg. lol

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Saturday September 29, 2012
    [IMG]
Prep: Brush soaking in warm water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, tepid shower
    Razor: 1940's Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Personna Med Prep
    Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar
    Soap: Lea Sensitive Skin
    AS: Brut Attitude
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave

After three shaves with the Feather I felt like a change, so I decided to use the Super Speed.

This razor was PIF'd to me from my good friend Roger (DEGuy on shaving forums). Roger has become like a brother to me. A day does not go by that we do not converse at least a few times. Sometimes in life we run across people by chance, be it on on forums, social networks or just out and about. They end up becoming like family, Roger is definitely one of those people.

I have owned a few Flare Tips, a couple of Red Tips and a Blue Tip so I did not think that this razor would shave much differently. I was wrong. The additional weight of the brass handle and the variance in the head geometry really makes a difference.

This is the first BBS that I have had in days, two passes on face, three from jawline down, and some light buffing was all it took. I like this razor a lot, it will become part of my rotation and a very good candidate for a replate.

It lathers very nicely, mild scent. The shea butter provides a slick surface, no skin irration.

    Saturday 29 September, 2012

A lazy start to the day gray rainy morning slept in a little later, then just lazed around till hitting the showers.
    Soap choice RazoRock Mughetto Bologna.
The Omega 48 was feeling ignored since the Semogues moved in. Today it was chosen and it did monstrous job in lathering.
Day four for the dynamic duo of the Gillette new style with a Polsilver. This was my first experience with Polsilver, I'm impressed with the sharpness and smoothness. Definitely a must have blade in my Den
Three passes this morning brought about a superior DFS.
After a great shave splashed cold water, rub down with alum, splash of Lilac Veg, (yes I'm a fan), a touch of Fitness balm.
    Everyone have a spectacular weekend.

    • Prep pre-shave cream
    • Arko Commando shave cream
    • Frank Shaving Warwick (23mm), best badger
    • Gillette Fat Boy (F-2, 1963)
    • Vintage Gillete Blade - The Spoiler (2nd shave)
    • My own witch hazel concoction - bergamot and menthol
    • GFT Skin Food - Sandalwood
    • Aqua Velva AS lotion - Musk
It was nice to use the Fat Boy again, especially with the old Gillete blade. Very nice three pass BBS shave. But not as good as yesterday, LOL!

    Cheers, Lyndon

A lot of yard work followed by ...

Pre (Eucerin Moisturizing cream, warm shower)
    Omega 10083 Pro boar
    MWF
    Merkur 1904 OC
Post (Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, Dickinson's WH, cold water rinse)

Three pass DFS. That's all I can get out of the 1904. Major cool retro factor though.

I forgot to post the other day so here is 2 together

    P1040339(1).JPG

    Hot shower
    EJ89L - Rapira blade
Old spice mug with vintage soap (possibly old spice)
Rubberset brush with Omega boar knot.
    Heathcoat & Ivory ASB

Not too much cushioning with this soap but still got a DFS++ so nearly a BBS (3 pass and touch ups) if a BBS is gonna be so be it, but that said I never force the issue a DFS++ sits well with me.
    P1040340(1).JPG
    Hot shower
    EJ89L Rapira blade
Kent soap (Grated into tupperware dish) not pretty but it works
    Rubberset brush (again)
    Bluebeards revenge post shave.

Again DFS++ both the ASB's performed well no worse than what I have already but not too keen on the scent of the Bluebreards maybe it will grow on me. Both where gifts from my brother (and also a fine scotish fine soap ASB as well that I have yet to try)
