Today's shave was with a Japanese Kamisori. I had a good 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. This was my first Kamisori, and I think I will take it back to the stones, and put a western edge on the blade, just to make the shaves easier.

    Razor- Japanese Kamisori, "Tsurayuki ".
    Brush- Omega 10066 Boar
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Arctic Blue

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher and vintage Gem Jr. blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Razor: Ming Shi Future Clone
    Blade: Lord Platinum
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Grandstaff Amyris
    Post: Reef Point Intrepid balm

Was in a hurry and didn't get a very close shave. The Grandstaff soap did make a great lather as always, but the blade was dull and was dragging a lot. Finished off with Intrepid balm.

    Post: Stirling Arkadia balm

Epic shave. The menthol from the pre shave mixed perfectly with the scent of this CRSW soap, plus this is the vol. 1 formula which has a high goat milk content and is nice and moisturizing. Finished off with Stirling balm.

    Jamie's Night Shave

PERSONNA FLOATING HEAD INJECTOR - Modern Schick II Blade {2nd shave) - Twin blade is made and sold in Japan, they are the last twin Injector blade to be manufactured. I find them to be just as good as the Vintage twin blades as far as smoothness - not as sharp as the Schick II' twin blades I have from the 1970's..

Heljestrand AOS MNSBS TH AOS.jpeg Last day of SEptember and I reserved it for my Nordic Beauty - the Heljestrand lather catcher. This wedge razor is tops. Smooth with great lines and it gives a wonderful shave with a flatter angle and light touch. When I bought this razor the threads were stripped. @twhite rescued it with some fine machining and it was good as new. :happy036: A perfect way to close out a month of fantastic shaves. :happy093:

Smells like the Drug Store SEptember!!!! (Stirling Booster)

    September 30
    Razor - Gem 1912
    Blade - [IMG] (5)
    Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep
    Brush - 30 DC LE
    Post - Alum

Well, here we are on the last day of SEptember. This month went by way too fast. And to finish it up, I used the Gem 1912 with the same Teflon blade I used in it all month. I think it's a total of 5 shaves. May be 6. But the blade is still in great shape and giving fine shaves. The LE brush and Electric Sheep get to finish the month out with a fantastic muttony lather and two passes with just a minor bit of touch up is close enough to BBS to call it that. Very fine finish to the month. I whipped the alum out to check the shave and found it very nice with just a few hot spots. Awesome.

I really had some fun this month with my SE's, such as they are. I will say that my Schick M2 probably gave some of the finest shaves I've had in a long time. I was quite impressed and had to pat myself on the back for being so smart 40 years ago or more to choose that as my first razor.
