    Gillette President
    Personna SS
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

The TOBS St. James Collection Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Bethlehem Olivewood ST brush. Two passes with my Gillette President razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal as an after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor: Gillette SS 1947 NDC (Birth Razor)
Blade: Personna Prep Blade Blue (5)
Brush: Fendrihen Silver Tip Black Faux Handle 22/49
    Bowl: Yokohama Studio's
    A/S: Fine Platinum
    Cream: Proraso Green
I tried a different method to add menthol crystals to this cream tonight. I crushed up some crystals and added a table spoon of hot water to the crystals that I had put in the bowl. hen I added the cream and mixed an excellent lather. This lather was much colder than a regular batch of Proraso. The shave was outstanding as I did 3 passes with a minor cleanup. This is a great razor, and with working with the angle you can greatly improve the closeness of your shave.

After changing my mind seven times - here's what Sunday's shave will be:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Derby day 7
Stirling Frozen Tundra SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Krampert's Frostbite AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Plenty of strong menthol is going into this shave, believe me. The Frozen Tundra is a hell of an iceball with a great scent, tons of awesome lather, as well as brilliant skincare. I'd definitely say that after the Glacials it's Rod's second coldest soap. The Gold Bond is such a versatile product - as an aftershave balm it's so cooling and soothing, or it's terrific for itchy, dry skin. Brian's Frostbite aftershave is very well-named because its menthol power is damned strong. I wish I was able to describe the scent, but I find it very nice! ;) :D

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Lather: Speick cream
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (3, 4, 5) plus touchup
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's witch hazel, Speick AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

How good was the lather from Speick today? So good that the Bolzano blade just glided over my face for three passes. So good, in fact, that I lathered up my face - but not my throat - for the touchup listed above, getting BBS results on the face with DFS+ results on the throat. My upper lip showed the tiniest spot of blood from that 4th, ATG, touchup pass, but otherwise smooth sailing.

Fantastic shave. The soap is worth every penny. What a fantastic, fresh scent. It´s definetly worth to buy it. The combination of the head, handle and blade was stunning. Overall it couldn´t be a better shave.

Have a fantastic, sunny autumn Sunday.

    Greetings

    Superb Sunday Shave
Victory shave with lime frankensoap. I mixed Maggard's Limes and Bergamot with samples of Reef Point Sublime and Cold River Soap Works Citrus, resulting in an excellent soap in every sense of the word. Yogurty lather abounded from my HIS brush, setting up my stubble for its meeting with the Futur. I used a 6-6-5 progression today to see if I can get the same fantastic results with a smaller blade gap ATG. I think stepping down did make the shave a bit more comfortable, but I can tell the difference in smoothness. It's not significant enough to worry about. I finished with PAA LGT and now I'm ready for church.

    Prep: warm water splash
    Soap: Frankenlime soap
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Futur
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
AS: PAA Lime Ginger Tea Tree

    30 day focus - Day 4
    Fat Boy set to 6
    Rapira Platinum Lux Blade
    MDC
    3 passes

I moved the Fat Boy adjustment from 5 to 6 today and am pleased with the results. On 6, the Fat Boy seemed a little more eager to mow down the really heavy whiskers. This resulted in a slightly better shave than the previous few days. I will try it on 6 for a few days and then move it up to 7 in order to determine what the best setting is for me. This was a very good shave today.

Ahhhhhhhh, did this shave ever feel cold and wonderful. The Frozen Tundra soap lathered up icy, rich, and slick. Two passes cleaned me up so well, although I'd say the Derby needs a change. The Frostbite aftershave felt really frigid afterwards with a nice, exotic scent! :happy088:
