Thanks! It is a sweet-feeling handle! A gift from fellow TSD member (and very cool razor handle-maker) @AKASL

    Friday

Prep: soak brush, wash with Clear Essentials glycerin soap
    Soap: The Shave Den unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 boar
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Feather
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

The boar brush did a good job creating a creamy lather on my face from the TSD soap. Comfortable close shave.

Found out the hard way I can only use a Gem blade for 4 shaves. Tried to stretch the blade to 5 shaves and had a terrible first pass. Changed the blade and the rest of the shave was great.

    Razor Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Gem Blade
    Semogue brush
    Tabac
    Nivea sensitive balm
    Clubman Special Reserve.

Prep: Hot shower. Neutrogena face wash. Noxzema.

Brush: AoS mini sized pure badger, finally destinkified.

    Lather: Arko.

    Razor: Cooper MonoBilt!

    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock black.

Post: Cold water; Razorock Alum Block; C.O. Bigelow Dr. Galen Herbal Witch Hazel Skin Tonic No. 010.

    After: Florida Water.

Well, I feel like I have satisfied the basic requirements of Open-Comb October. At least this once. Good BBS shave with the Cooper MonoBilt. The razor seems a little aggressive, maybe comparable to a red tip SS. The Florida Water stung. Like something I can't say here ;)

The AoS mini badger brush produced a copious amount of rich lather. It will make a fine travel brush. Maybe I'll put in in the vintage gold plated brush case I picked up recently. While I liked the soft badger experience, I may be more of a boar guy or at least a mixed-hair man. I guess I will find out when the two brushes I have coming arrive: one is a Lord Randal Vie-Long mixed, courtesy of @Troy M, and the other is an Omega boar 80266 (with stand).

    Razor: Merkur 34c HD
Brush: Badassshaveing Flaming Birch Black Badger 24/55
    Mug: VDH
    Cream: TOBS Coconut
    Blade: Feather (2)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea body wash Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Azzaro AS Balm, OS vintage Shulton cologne 1973 glass

I made it for one day with the OC. I got a lot of burn, so I'm going milder today with my Merkur. The heavy handle and mild head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure. My new Black Badge brush is a little floppy but i could whip up the TOBS with a Q-tip, so no problem. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped. Have a good weekend!

Have you tried any of the other RR soaps with equal success but less irritation? The ones I've used have all been top-notch; perhaps there's a RR variety that doesn't cause a problem for you.
