2nd shave with the new tallow Maggard soap today. 20 seconds to load for a great lather. Loaded a new Gillette Platinum in the Slim. An excellent smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Canoe.

Extremely easy 2 pass shave this morning. The lather was good, the razor and blade was smooth and the well shaken Ogallala Bay Rum was just fine.

Passing on OC OCtobet for now...

I ordered a few shave cream sample from TSD shop, and decided to try out the Taylor Grapefruit this morning. I was very pleased with this cream. Quick and easy to lather, great scent and good glide/protection. It did seem to leave my face a touch on the dry side, but I had the same thing yesterday with different soap, so I think there is another cause to the drying.

I did get one nick somehow, but otherwise a great two pass DFS.

Finished with witch hazel in the hopes it would not interfere with the grapefruit scent, so far so good.

I have yet to have a bad shave from the Schick Adjustable. What a fantastic razor! Once you find the right setting, it works beautifully every time with no irritation at all.

Nice shave indeed. The OCMM has a fierce reputation but I find it to be a easy shaver giving great results.

I'm not a huge fan of OC razors but since today was Aristocrat day and the beginning of OCtober I chose my OC over my newer model and got a surprisingly good shave even though I don't quite like the feel of this razor on my face.

I continue to be impressed with the platinum version of the SuperThin and plan to purchase more of these fine blades.

Brush: Silver Tip Badger 23mm knot
Soap: TOBS - Avacodo
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva classic Ice Blue
Cologne: Christian Dior - Cuir Cannage

An easy 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this first day of Open Comb October. The silver tip badger is soft and whipped up a great lather with the TOBS - Avacado. The AV brought some chill and the Cuir Cannage will have me smelling great all day.

Another try with Catie's bubbles today and another good result. 3 passes and bbs, although I did get one small weeper. I am still impressed with the ladas blades. They seem to last forever and are very smooth.

Rabbit Rabbit! It's October folks!

 

It was a perfect 2 pass shave! The bulldog added more weight than expected so I caught myself putting too much pressure on the head. But the shave went well and there was no burn as I put on my Cat o Nine Tails afterwards!
