I have to correct my own post from Friday, my SoS then was not the last adjustable shave of the week. As I had to come in to work last night unexpectedly, I took that opportunity to take the Futur for a spin as well, I am happy I was able to get all 3 of my adjustables out of their stable during this theme week.

Martin de Candre 'Savon Thym Girofle Canelle' for the face wash (a beautiful soap with thyme, clove and cinnamon)
    Musgo Real pre-shave oil
    Logona Mann shave cream
Muehle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush, Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur Futur
    ASP (new)
    Bloc Osma alum
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

2 passes - 1st pass on 2 and the subsequent pass on 3 - left me with a near-BBS. Good enough for me not to shave on Monday.

Wow! I've taken one 5 shaves before, but that's it.
I know what you mean about wanting to retire a blade early because you have others to try. that's why I normally limit my blades to 3 shaves so I get through the other 30 types of blades I have.

Audio: Audiobook: David Halberstam's "The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War"
Face Wash: Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
    Pre-Shave Lather: Institut Karite
    Razor: Merkur 38M
    Blade: Laser Super Stainless (1)
    Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap/Cream: Vetiver SS, made by our very own Sara-S

DFS+, my best shave yet with a Laser blade.

I love using soap, which was made and PIF'd to me by our very own Sara-S. The scent is very much like the CR Salter French Vetyver SC and it makes for a great lather. I'm really looking forward to using this for a few shaves.

The soap and the cream are very different. Both are mt staple favorites - I even have a solid tradition of 'Tabac Sunday'. As I have an opened tube of cream, I'm tending to use it more often then the soap - I'm afraid it can dry out. Tabac was my first traded cream and it was love from the first glance. And I have to say it - it was Jeff who addicted my to Tabac!!! (pointing his finger somewhere behind the horizon, where he thinks Canada is situated ;) )
