This razor rocks. I've put my Super Speeds and my Slim away for now. Once again, thanks for selling it to me reasonably.

    Turkish Horsehair
    Super Speed/Rapira day 6
    Top Ten Menthol SC
    Svoboda AS Balsam
    Barbon AS
Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui EDT

Again the Turkish horsehair brush whipped up a mountain of lather from the Top Ten Menthol cream from Bulgaria, which smells so nice and feels great on my skin. Strangely enough, the cooling effect is very light - in fact it's so light that it's barely noticeable. The Svoboda balsam is like medicine for sensitive skin - it has a lovely cooling and soothing effect and it really moisturizes well and prevents dryness. The Barbon aftershave is a wonderful face-freezer. What a tremendous shave I had today!

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Saturday September 8, 2012
    [IMG]
Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower
    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
Blade: SuperMax Sunrise Super Stainless (1)
    Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar
    Soap: Tabac
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Splash Of Aftershave

Although I shave with a Tech as part of my regular rotation, this is my first shave with my new Rhodium Tech from West Coast Razor. As always, Dave's work is impeccable, you would swear that this just came from the Gillette factory during the late 1930's.

I have had such good shaves with the SuperMax Sunrise Super Stainless blades, I thought it would make for a nice match to the Tech.

I face lathered with the Tabac and 1438 which produced such a thick and dense lather it looked like I had smeared Greek yogurt on my face.

The combo of blade and razor performed outstanding, three passes, minor touch-ups to my normal problem area and I have an irritation free BBS.

I cannot say enough good things about the Krampert's finest Bay Rum. Every time I use it I am amazed that I have zero burn and
the most conditioned feeling skin afterwards.

    Blade: Laser Super Stainless
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap/Cream: Calani Dubai
Post: Witch Hazel/Rum/Aloe/Glycern mixture followed by Razor Relief from The Body Shop

First time using the Laser Stainless Steel. My initial impressions are that it's a fine blade, but not the best for me. I'll use up my pack, but I won't buy more. There's just a bit more tugging than my top blades, and a bit more irritation, but the final shave is pretty good. After trying a couple in my 38M, I'll try them in my other razors.

Calani Dubai....love,love, love it. Such a rich, creamy lather. I do have to keep loading past the point where other soaps would be fine, or I run out of lather for the 3rd pass, but that's no problem. The reward is worth the slightly longer load time.

    Soap/Creme: DR Harris Rose
    Razor: Schick Hydromagic
    Blade: Personna PFTE
    Pre: Hot Shower & Proraso
    Post: Alt-Innsbruck
Result: I went for DFS, not BBS, because I wanted to be sure it was an enjoyable shave, and really hit the mark. Everything was excellent, and not the slightest discomfort all shave.

Wow what a fantastic shave!!! I'm becoming a believer in the glycerine soap pre-shave (I don't wash it all off.) The RazoRock Mudder Focker and after shave wax made this shave over the top. Zero irritation. New fav shave set up today.

    Fatboy (dailed to 6)
    Personna Crystal
    The Manchurian
    Proraso Sandalwood
    Lucido Splash

After a week and a half of working 13 hour days, I celebrated my freedom with a great shave! This morning's shave was the first for a few days, hence the more aggressive setting. The other two shaves this week it was dialed to be more mild, for nice gentle shaves. The blade was still surprisingly sharp, and both felt and performed great on my 2 pass shave today. The scent of the proraso seemed better than it did the first shave, so that was nice. It will definitely grow on me! :)

All in all, it was wonderful! Happy Saturday everyone! :D

    Sunday!
    TSD preshave balm
    8/8 W&B restored by Glen
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Ceramic bowl
    Tabac SC
    Cold water splash.
It somehow became a tradition to shave with Tabac on Sunday. Just love it! Razors are just from some touch-up on Naniwas, so W&B is wonderfully sharp and soft... I found that I need to touch up my 2 straights after 3 weeks of daily shaving. Now I see how 'cased pairs' works...

Well I have not posted in SOS for a few days so I have a bit of catching up to do.

Friday 9-7-12 and Saturday 9-8-12 are the same so here it is

    Razor: Parker 22R
    Blade: Polysilver
    Soap: Omega
    Brush: TBS

Overall DFS on both days. The polysilver was a decent blade. I have to say that during all this blade testing, I think my facial hair is getting confused. I am giving testing a break and going back on the good ol' Astra SP's and changing up soaps for a bit. :)

Love that razor...It's like the 'Highlander' razor to me....Meaning...I have and love several razors...But the Highlander Razor is if, "There can be only one"....lol

    Sunday's Shave
Today is very special for me... I believe I have redefined the meaning of BBS for me, without meaning too....Just kind of happened...and completely irritation free...:happy108:
    The Shave:
    Long Shower
    Arko 'Extra-Sensitive' Creme
    Omega 10029 Baby-Pro; boar
    1955 Schick Hydro-magic
    EMS/Personna D-don't know, but it's been a few
    Rebul Lavanda Colonia

I did: Above the Jawline-WTG, ATG Buffing Pass,+touch up Jody Yoda J-Hooks on chin area....Below and including the Jawline-3 ATG passes....
Thats seems to be the formula for the Sweetest irritation free BBS....I'm trying this recipe again...

Have a great Sunday Everybody !!

What a beautiful photo, of a perfect kit....I love every piece of that puzzle...and that single ring really looks like she was born yesterday....She could be a real heart breaker....;) She looks so young there you could be arrested for 'contributing to the delinquency of a razor....:happy097:

Yesterday's shave was so enjoyable, I decided to try it again with a little alteration:

Prep.: hot shower, shave oil (AoS) as I combed my hair with Vitalis and military club brushes.

Shave: Vulfix 2234S brush, L'Occitane Cade Soap, Dovo Forestal straight razor. 3 passes, 1 WTG, 2 XTG.

Post: Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman.

BBS shave before approaching the altar, 15 minutes, 2 weepers. Very nice.
