Once again, a smooth, close and very enjoyable shave. I cannot say enough good things about the Derbylux cream. The scent is so nice, the lather is so rich and creamy, and I just had to do a 3rd pass to get some more of the menthol delight. :biggrin:

A superb shave this morning, using MWF. I remember that when I used MWF for the first time, I thought "What's the big deal?" But, over time, I came to appreciate the "big deal"--it leaves my face feeling great, and I like it better with each use. The No. 74 splash provided an excellent finish, with just the right touch of menthol.

Comments|Usually the experiments in order to make shaving soap are not very well finished, because the soap is a simple product with complicated ways to achieve results....well I don't know very much about this soap, but I've got a great lather, thick, cushioned enough, with glide, unfortunately the scent is very "medical" as a liniment. The spanish Floïd blue smells as a hairdressing product,....I had to get away from those smells and I've chosen the bitter fruits of Eau du Sud, holy grapefruit

Another super shave.

One thing I do like about the Futur adjustable over other adjustables is the ability to make micro-changes in the blade gap. The Futur doesn't click into a setting like the Gillette adjustables (does the Progress click and lock into place?); it glides to whatever setting you want, then holds that setting simply by friction. Maybe what amazes me more is the difference a micro-change from 2.5 to roughly 2.65 can make in the results of my shave.

hmmmmm.... no Adjustable Week love for the Progress?

I see Nick has been the only one to use one for a full shave this week.
And ocharlas used his once for just a bit of touch-up.

Makes me rethink about asking for this razor for Christmas.
