Saturday! Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug Penworks 26mm finest TSD Mango Coconut Wheat SC Cobra Classic Feather (1) Cool Water Rinse TSD Mango Coconut ASM This was my first shave with the Cobra, this thing is a beast!! The angle with which I shave my legs meant I had to really control the razor given it's weight. This thing'll take your hide off! Close shave, damn close.
Jack Black Beard Lube Gillette Bostonian Polsilver Blade C&E BBB Kiss My Face Mint TSD Iced Lime Milk -BBS. I'm completely sold on the Polsilver. If it's not the SI in disguise it's at least as good. I've used the Polsilver in a Merkur 38c, Merkur Slant, and now the Bostonian. It brought out the best of those razors.
Happy Saturday From Florida! Today is the best day of my life so far! Hot Shower RAB Scuttle Chubbz I Noxzema SC - THANKS BILL! Strivel Adjustable - @3 Feather (2) Cold Water Rag Poraso ASB 4 Passes = 9 Million Blade, Floating On Cloud Nine, Hey You Get Off Of My Cloud, Off The Hook, Bang A Gong, Inter-Galactic, My Nose Is Having Convulsions, NSFW, BBS! Holy Smokes! How am I going to move forward? I cannot look backward because I was never there to begin with. Noxzema must have done some kind of market study at the time to determine that their lather cream was not economically viable...but dang! This stuff flat out ROCKS!!! Once I was done with my shave, I squeezed out the remaining lather from my brush and rubbed it into my face. I spent the next 15 minutes wrapped up in my shower towel, rolling on the floor and basking in the wonderful scent, soaking up all that I could of this Heavenly Elixir. There is probably three more shaves available in this sample pot, if I play them right.... <sigh> Fellow shavers, whatever you do, DO NOT allow yourself to try Noxie; it is no longer available for purchase. I can only imagine what a crack smoker must feel once the drug is gone, if it is even a fraction of a fraction as good as my shave experience with it today!

Was in trip for all this week long. The shaves were the same: Merkur travel/Personna#1-5 Muhle travel nickel brush in best badger Palmolive shave stick Mayor Energy Platinum splash All were almost BBS, I love Palmolive stick and this is my only choice for traveling, because I like it! Thank you, Jeff, thank you, Stefan, for that sticks!!! When I got home, I was met with very cozy and relaxing Saturday shave... 8/8 W&B restored by Glen Vie-Long horsehair brush Painted ceramic bowl Valobra Menthol soap Men's choice Brisk splash DFS+ with ease! These 2 splashes made a fan of alcohol-based splashes of me. Love the feeling and soothing. Besides, Mayor Energy splash is well-mentholated and gives wonderful cooling effect!

$.50 boar brush ('cause I haven't used one of these cheap brushes in months) My mug that was a one off custom job made in NJ almost 60 years ago- I face lather p.160 Slim set to 9 with a Gillette platinum on it's 6th test shave installed Finished with the alum block (sting!!) and my handcrafted bay rum The blade has seen better days. It really should have come out of the razor before the shave ended. It wasn't up to the 6th shave. My face took a beating. Tomorrow I return to an old friend to give my face a break.
Friday, September 9, 2011 Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade Lather: Arko Brush: Semogue 1250 Razor: Gem OCMM Blade: Walgreen's Gem (3), 2 passes Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade Excellent shave with the Arko. I'm still learning the Semogue brush but it does feel great on the face. Boars definitely hold the water differently than a badger. My first attempt at a face lather was very soupy. I rinsed the brush out, squeezed a lot of water out and then reloaded on the arko. Then I got a really good face lather and had a great shave!
Saturday 10 September Proraso Pre-shave C.O. Bigelow SC Gillette Slim (8) w/ Treet Dura Sharp (D3) Berkley 46, face lather Alcolado Glacial-Anherb conditioner Well, I did what Steve suggested. I bumped the slim up to 8 and it did pretty good. I got one nick, but I think it was because I was being a dumbass. The blade seemed to drag a bit, so I pitched it when I was done. The opinion is still out on the CO Bigelow, the cooling is mild, the scent is meh, and I'm not crazy about the skin care. Maybe one more shot with it. Not nearly as good as the proraso white, Grodrej menthol mist, or palmolive Italian shave cream. Sorry about the picture, it looked good on the small screen, and when I posted it I could see the bottom was a bit blurry.
Sunday 09-11-11 Unmarked German Vintage Razor with red Personna (1) Hans Baier 21er Silvertip Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna D.R.Harris Pink Juicy Couture`s Dirty English I found this cute little bowl on the flea market in Berlin. The emblem seemed so familiar, it looks like a caduceus, which has really nothing to do with medicine. But Google says the U.S. Army Medical Corps is assigned. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/09/US_Army_Medical_Corps_Branch_Plaque.gif Another hint I found here http://www.replacements.com/webquote/BUFUSAMC.htm For further information I would be thankful!

Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/7 AM day 6 Nord-ost SC Nord-ost AS Balsam Pino Silvestre EDT Although I got another very close and smooth shave, (3 passes were required) this 7 AM blade struggled to do it for me. The Nord-ost cream is a top brand in Russia - it has everything going for it. A nice, classic scent, great lather, and a little menthol. The matching aftershave balsam is very mentholated, and really makes sensitive skin feel well-cared for. The shaving cream is on the left in the black and yellow tube, and the balsam is to the right. My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone who was affected by 9/11/01.
Personna Magic Razor Voskhod (1) TGN Silvertip Badger Ingram Menthol Cream Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm Another close shave all around - did give myself a decent nick on the upstroke, but nothing major. A fresh blade with this razor really makes a massive difference, I've been using them for 3 days before moving on but I may shorten that to 2. Every day gets a little better!
