    Parker pure badger
    Yardley gold
    Merkur 39c
    Gillette Wilkinson sword(1)
    aqua velva ice blue
today's shave was really nice one. anticipation to use my restored brush is building. so deciding on today's elements was a little distracted. the hammer didn't disappoint, especially with a new sword loaded. the Yardley gold is wonderful, surprised I don't see the one more on this thread. aroma, slick, cushion, ease of lather, all in that gold tube, wow. finished with ice blue. smooth as silk, and smelling good too.
    y'all 20140913_082613-1.jpg enjoy our weekend

Today I had a close & comfy 3 pass shave with the ladas blade. This was unusual because it is the fourth time I have used this blade and I have never successfully used any blade 4 times before. It is almost time to order 100. All in all, a very nice shave.

    SATURDAY
Another cold-water shave this morning….very refreshing. Although the scuttle is out (rear of photo), Im not inclined to use it until the Fall chill is in the air—and with a high of 94°F expected today, the chill hasn't arrived yet.
I love the feel of this Böker and as I continue to winnow down and find new homes for my razors, this one is definitely a keeper.

    Have a great Saturday, all!

I went with Maggard's Fougère Sauvage today because I haven't used it in a while. It did not disappoint.. Easy high quality lather from my HIS lather monster. My SC101 made short comfortable work of my stubble.

I've got a lot on my mind, plus a bit of a rushed shave this morning and I had some lather issues that I didn't fully resolve. Only a SAS today but no irritation, nicks, cuts or other misfortune.

2 pass BBS. No nicks. Very smooth blade for a carbon but I'll treat it as one and done. Have neglected my big jug of carbons for too long.

Splashed on some menthol/alum Witch Hazel and called it good.

    Enjoy your weekend, gents.

Razor: Supermax SII (Trac II Clone)
    Blade: Personna Twin Pivot Plus
    Brush: Muhle STF V2
    Lather: Dr. Dittmar

I know cartridges get a bad rap but I think the 2 bladed ones are very good (Not to be confused with disposables which are terrible). The Dorco and Personna twin carts are both very comfortable to use. I would give a slight edge to Personna in sharpness and the edge to Dorco in that its lube strip doesn't get as nasty-gooey as Personna's. They cant match my injectors but I would prefer them to a DE. Also, they are not faster than an injector. Any time, if any, saved is balanced out by the extra time it takes to remove the gooey residue from my face. The Supermax blades do not have a lube strip but where am I going to find Supermax blades?

hot shower w/Pre de Provence Lime Zest bar soap
    Maggard Sweet Orange PSO
    Kama straight 1 pass
    PAL Adjustable 1+ pass
    Schick (5)
Derby Lemon cream in a warm mug
    Surrey boar
    Thayers Lemon w/aloe
    4711 AS

Very nice shave today using some new products.

1st time with the Kama that just came back from being made shave ready. Thanks Glen.
I really felt comfortable with the rounded end since I didn't have to be as careful to not poke myself in the usual places but I only did one pass because it just didn't seem like I had the necessary patience this morning that one should have when wielding a straight. Maybe too much coffee.

1st time with the Derby and the same scent witch hazel. Thanks Adonis for being a regular lemon user.
I wasn't sure what to expect from such an inexpensive cream but it performed admirably and produced a nice lather even in my hard water.

1st time with the 4711. Thanks Bruce for suggesting it. Not sure why it's called "granny juice" but I really like it. Maybe the cologne smells more like old ladies (or attracts them).
