first DE I use in a long while. I think I will stick with my SEs. Finished up the last pass with my Schick I1. The Provence doesn't seem all that good but it always leaves me with superb results allowing for the most comfortable shaves ever

 

Nope. It's a great razor. I use it, I'm having fun in the injector world. I'll use it this week.

The "Black Pearl" is up for another sail! I'm glad my Adustables are up in my rotation, as they seem to shave me the best. I think it's because the heads are heavy and with a light touch and a Feather blade give me a great shave. The Castle Cedarwood Sandalwood has an earthy scent that is a nice change, and the lather is legendary. Slick with cushion and does not dry out as I take my time. WTG XTG on my face on 6, and WTG XTG ATG on my neck on 5. I have been changing the setting for my neck and found that with less aggression on the setting the more passes I would take and the more pressure I would use. Got real close but gave me a lot of burn, so I been going up on the setting to find that sweet spot for my neck. With a five my neck felt great with just a little touch up. ATG on my upper lip was also good, but not as close. I'll take it with no burn. I really like the Thayers Cucumber WH, and it felt good. After a cleanup a pitch of the blade into my bank, some Jack Black, and new to me Clubman Bay Rum. I like the scent, but I like the old vintage Avon Bay Rum better. DFS . Remember today all of our Heros that keep us safe to do what we do. We will not forget or forgive those that stand against us.

Post- Cold water rinse, Old Spice whitewater and Nivea aftershave balm

I was really excited to use MWF but it does disappoint again. I felt some burning during the first pass so I switched lather. I need to practice more I'm sure, but I know it's a great soap and I would like to use it successfully sometime soon. They should make it easier to lather.

Maca root is an awesome cream, very slick and protective. And EASY to whip up a great lather. I always use a bit to much =) oh well..

My face feels a bit irritated stil. I gotta reapply aftershave balm to sooth the skin.

 

I agree. The Maca Root is great. I like it as much as the Castle Forbes.

 

For me, they couldn't make it easier to lather.

 

I have followed all the advice. But the lather doesn't protect me against the blade.

I need practice I know =p buy I only get foamy and airy lather. Doesn't feel good to shave

 

I haven't tried that one, I guess it's good

 

the only thing i did was put it in its ceramic container fill it with water and in two days the puck swole to fit it. The one thing i don't like about it is that it keeps me hostage. If i don't use it enough it will develop cracks. I've heard someone compare it to a living thing that needs attention and if it does it it doesn't work anymore. Though in my case it has always worked. Even before it got all swole. I guess I'm just lucky or have mad lathering skills. I just don't like for it to have cracks

I received the Star razor in a PIF awhile back (thanks TitanTTB), and this was its initial outing. I found it quite mild, on par with my Gillette Techs, but has a handle that feels more comfortable in the hand. The results certainly earned it a few more shaves, but it will be very difficult for it to displace the Weber PH or Merkur 38C that are my current daily shavers. A 3+ pass, DFS with some mild irritation. Not too bad for a first try.

The Ingrams really is a fantastic cream. It's been on the warm-ish side around here the past few days and this morning I though a nice cooling menthol shave was in order. Fantastic lather and very cooling indeed. Plus lanolin!

The Cella Crema da Barba face-lathered very easily with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger Brush. Two passes with my Gillette Slim and Wilkinson Sword Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable. near BBS shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

"The Black Pearl" shaves great and she is an "84" as they call it for its shorter length than the longer handle which Is the "109". It is longer than my Slim and Fat Boy, and is lighter than both. I will have to wait and see which of the three comes out as my go to razor. The Adjustables are definitely my top razor of choice. My holly grail is a Toggle, because of the difference in the way it adjusts. I will find one some day for a good price. Enjoy yours!

Another excellent shave. I think I've got one more razor to add to my rotation now. Really liked the feel of the ball end tech... Something about it makes it feel solid and substantial. Like I could feel where the edge of the blade was at all times. Aggressive enough to know it is doing the work, but mild enough that while I still needed to go relatively slowly, I never felt a bite even when I got a little careless. Had a couple drops of blood but the cold water rinse stopped those completely even before the Razorock block.

The highlight tonight was definitely my homebrewed soap and the mug it was in. I made it with the rosemary oil I had along with a puck of Williams mug soap, and it worked very well. But what was a nice surprise was that the repurposed metal camping cup I used as a scuttle also worked as a perfect holder for the tech!
