Tried the Speick cream for the first time today (thanks Shawn!). It was my first time with any Speick product. WOW! The smell was awesome! AWESOME!!! Not being much of a cream user myself, I was very happy with the results. Aside from having to make it in a bowl, I really didn't notice much difference between that and when I lather with Tabac or IK soaps. I thought the lather whipped up very easily, and was slick, and provided a lot of protection. When I lathered for my second pass, the lather seemed to be a bit dry on my face. I dipped just the tips of my brush in water, and worked the lather a bit more on my face. That was the ticket. After that, the lather on my face, and what I reworked in the bowl a little was glistening. I think I would buy a tube of this, personally, and the soap too since the general consensus seems to be that the soap out performs the cream. The splash is a must have, too. Question: is it only the one plant used to make the scent, or do they blend in other scents, too? What was that distinctive, pungent, almost peppery scent? Very intoxicating.
