GLACIAL!! What a great face freeze soap. Like chewing a piece of Wrigley's spearmint gum and dunking your face in a pail of ice water. If you guys like menthol this is it! My inexperience in lathering soaps wasn't an issue this time and another irritation free shave. I didn't even use an aftershave today because I didn't feel like I needed it. My new favorite soap. I emailed Rod about this soap and he says he does plan to make it a regular he is just working on the formula. I WILL be getting a couple pucks of Glacial as soon as it hits the site.
Dang it.....just had to order a puck of the Glacial. I also added a puck of the new Spice (similar to Old Spice) and the Spice bath soap.
The furnace is out, 30 degrees outside so I down graded my menthol to Frozen Tundra. After Glacial this was like flying a kite on a warm sunny day. A nice scent, pretty different (earthy) and I liked it quite a bit. Really nice lather too.
Hey, BigKev77 my heat pump was uninstalled on Monday and will be until like next Tuesday. It was 24F this morning and pretty rough in the house so I can sympathize. I can't wait to try my samples though. LOL, maybe I should try something a little less cold first if the heat isn't back on by then...
I ended up ordering a puck of Glacial too. I also ordered one for our Israeli friend Jeff. $3.75 was too good a deal to pass up. The menthol in that one was the strongest I have ever tried... I love it! It made my eyes water and my nose run. When I reapplied it for the second pass, it was even colder. When I rinsed it off, it was like I stuck my head in a fishing hole while ice fishing. Man.
Sounds very very cool. I'm sad that Stirling is not a soap for me...seems to be a bad ingrediant for my skin... The scent of the Stirling soaps is really powerful and nice.
Ich habe viele Hoffnungen für diese Seife. Wenn es meine Erwartungen befriedigt, kann ich es regelmäßig kaufen! Jeff ist ein Menthol-junkie!
I'm sorry that happened to you. Have you thought of trying different scents? Maybe it's not the soap, but an essential oil that is irritating your skin.
I never thought in all the years I've been shaving that I would find something that could surpass my darling Iced Subzero soap in menthol power, but yes - it finally happened. Does this stuff ever freeze, freeze, and keep on freezing. Ease of lathering: 7/10--This is a tester which my man Ryan sent me. Patience is needed to get it going. This soap is thirstier than most soaps. Stability of lather: 7/10--Again, don't be discouraged. The lather will hold if you work at it enough and use extra water. General skincare: 10/10--The most powerfully-mentholated soap on Planet Earth with fantastic moisturizing and protection. Scent: 9/10--Pure menthol in a very nice way. Price: 10/10--Ryan sent it to me as a gift but I know it's only 5,00$ Very easy on the budget. Would I buy again: 10/10--Without question, even though it's necessary to make an effort to lather. As I said - if you're looking for a soap which lathers in the blink of an eye, then don't buy this soap because it takes patience and some effort to get this stuff going and you have to get the soap/water ratio down. You still won't get an Arko stick lather, but you'll get a good and workable lather which is very slick and protective. If you're a menthol lover like I am, this stuff is your ticket. Honestly, I can say that as soon as your brush makes contact with your face, the freezing begins and gets stronger and stronger with each second. It's a wonderful, wonderful soap!
