Goodness!!!!! is there a scent or product Rod makes that you don't have in one shipment? I guess your the only smart one I've run into, everyone else myself included keeps making small purchases and pays way too much in shipping costs. Well done! Rod is going to love having you as a customer! :happy096:

His sample size is extremely generous so I helped myself to them along with some full size pucks, lip balm, bath soaps and pre and after shave items. Plus tins. I really like the buisness model quality made and good prices so I wanted to give everything a try and look at going to him for regular shipments on bath soaps and shaves
Soaps. Tried the sandlewood vanilla bath soap and it was very nice, minimal lather went a long way. Also the DG one shave soap performed very well.

Yeah I noticed that about his samples when I looked at his site. A week ago I had never ever heard of his soaps, and I'm a member of quite a few forums. No idea how I missed it.

The first time I tried the Glacial I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I NEVER felt such a frigid wallop like that in my life - it caught me by total surprise. :shocked003::shocked029:

Is that on top of what is in the picture?!

So your sayin' to use when the weather is hot so you can run shivering into the heat? LOL

Heck, I'd use it even if it was 40 below zero with a stiff north wind! :bounce015: (that's what it feels like anyway!)

Used glacial this morning. I put it in a glass bowl so I had more room to stir. The lather was awesome. Very thick and stayed thick on my face. I usually only do 2 passes but I did a third just for fun. Glacial totally gets colder with each application. Considering starting to lather before the shower, let it sit, and then apply it to my face. I wonder if Jeff has ever tried this method?

Rod, Glacial AS please! I really like the smell and my $1.50 barbasol covers up the wintergreen smell that wifey likes so much. Barbasol-wifey "You still smell like an old man. Only use that before you go to work."

My wife says the same thing when I use AOS Sandalwood. She doesn't like it at all. I just don't understand.

So I had my first shave using Stirling Soap this morning. I received a puck of Ozark Mountain yesterday from a PIF Bobcat did. Let me start by saying this soap is amazing. I loved the scent when I packed it into the bowl last night. Unfortunately I only liked it first thing in the morning today. I'm not saying it is a bad scent, just too much for me this morning. It is the strongest smelling shave soap I have ever used. It has a woodsy smell with some spice and maybe a hint of wintergreen. The soap formed a stable long lasting lather incredibly quickly and I loved the cushion and slickness it provided. To get to the point, though Ozark Mountain might not be my preferred morning scent, based on performance I am going to use this from now on. Well, at least until I convince my wife to let me place an order of every sampler Stirling Soaps makes.

I have decided to have a "Stirling Week" starting tomorrow. I am going to use a different Stirling soap each day starting tomorrow. I am liking the newest formulation. I am "airing out" my new puck of Glacial to finish up with.

I think I might do the same, so far I have only tried Sharp Dressed Man and DG One. Need to have a strategy for the route I should go... Have a ton of soaps from them to go through, maybe start on sandalwood, polo blue and end the week with clubman for Friday.

On the bath soaps we have used the Sandalwood and Vanilla which has been great. Bath soaps left to try are Shea butter, Tuscany, and I believe xmas eve.

January is turning out to be a very expensive month for me, but as soon as I can get a hold of a few extra bucks which I believe should be soon I'll be placing an order for some more of Rod's soaps. The three mentholated ones I have are magnificent. :)

December and January have been crazy pricey for me and I still went ahead and placed an order at Italian barber for the limited release stuff and more... wife is happy about the new hobby but I think she is just waiting for me to have enough supply incase there is a world shortage.

The puck of Glacial I traded for just arrived in the mail. Very initial impression is its a soft puck and the Wintergreen/menthol smell is great! If you order Glacial and don't like it as a soap (to much Menthol) this stuff smells like it would double as a cream you could rub on sore muscles. From the description of the Menthol blast this stuff kicks I doubt any sore muscle stands a chance against it. It has that much menthol smell to it. I do like the Wintergreen scent it has.

Either my nose is on the blink or I have a weird sense of smell. To me the Glacial smells just pure menthol. :)
