Successful HHT!

    Wow! I just achieved my first successful HHT from my own honeing! Not only does it cut the hair, I can even splice the strand if I hold it at an angle!

    Nice work Johan! Congrats!! How did it shave? Remember too that a HHT pass doesn't always equal a smooth shave. What stone did you use as a finishing hone?

    Hopefully it gave you a wonderfully smooooth shave :D

    I finished with a 8000 japanese waterstone. And then 25 laps on a .5 micron strop and then 50 laps on a regular strop. (A "proper" 12k -ish finishing stone is on the wish list)

    I have yet to shave with it (finished the honing late.. very late ;) ), fingers crossed!

    Hanging Hair Test. It is basically to see the sharpness of a blade by seeing if a hair can be cut with it. Sort of like the old stereotype of pulling a hair out and slicing it off while it falls to the ground.
