The Feather Pro 25 I won a while ago came with an old straight razor, which I didn’t care for. It’s now clear the Feather Pro 25 is unusable and good for the dustbin. However, I had the Sum-Extra restored by Joe Chandler and I’m pretty happy with the result. Its carbon steel is probably commonplace (Joe can chime in here) but the African Blackwood scales and the brass wedge are now wonderful.

Also, the prodigal Bergischer Löwe has returned, professionally honed.

It's nice that the blade etching was deep enough to remain after the restoration work. I really like the overall appearance after -- the scales are great, and the barber notch really steps up the blade's finish.

Yukio....That razor is SWEET!!! :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool I want it.. the worked spine looks very cool. The grind of the blade reminds me of the workedback SS Henckels.

Awesome work Joe, The Ebony scales and brass wedge look Fantastic :D

I certainly don't want to take anything away from Joe's work because it is excellent. However, I gotta say those photos are amazing.
