Here's my approach: Take each product and smell it. 1) If you get a "cool" feeling it's a good hot weather product. For me that's mostly citrus and mint. I'd also add heavily mentholated products to this even though menthol doesn't have a scent. 2) If you get a "warm" feeling it's a good cold weather product. For me that's mostly woods and spicy scents. 3) If you don't get either a cool or warm feeling, then it's a good year-round product. Of course, you do find some that are hard to categorize, like my TSD Iced Signature SS. It has a warm scent, but it's mentholated. Personally, I consider that a year round item.
