At my house, I do the majority of the cooking...mainly because I enjoy it. Last night I was feeling tired and just wanted a quick meal without ordering food or hitting up the drive thru. So, I hit up my wife's Pinterest account. I found this recipe and happened to have all of the ingredients....and man it was better than I was expecting. The sauce: 1 cup Original Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce 1 cup Orange Marmalade 2 tablespoons soy sauce The breading: 1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup corn starch 2 eggs Cube 4 chicken breasts into bite size pieces. Beat the 2 eggs. Dip the chicken into the egg, then roll it in the flour/cornstarch mixture. Deep fry it (or pan fry). Combine sauce ingredients. Pour over the fried chicken in a large pan or wok. Heat for about 5 minutes. Serve with white rice. I was skeptical with the bbq sauce at how good this might be....we both loved it.
Something I'd eat for sure. When I read your title it brought fond memories of when my kids were younger and we'd go out to eat Chinese, pretty much every dish we'd tell them it was orange chicken so they would eat it.
Sounds like my wife. We have been married 21 years and I finally got her to try " Chinese" last year. All she eats is orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. lol
Aren't they the same I cook dinner 3 nights a week, this is something I'll make. Thanks for sharing! Kerry
