An EBay seller has a black handle Super Speed marked V2. They say its a second quarter 1950. Is this correct or is it a1970' era ?

Kind of confusing, but this particular one would be second quarter of 1975.

Thank you. How do the 70's stack up with the earlier models like the 40's and 50's ? and is $28. a fair price ? Again thanks for your help.

$28 would be fair if it was in great shape with a case in my opinion, but it's an item that is no longer made so 'value' is in the eye of the buyer really. They can be found for around $20 or so if you're patient. That said, I recently paid $40 for one with case because it was in great shape and my birth year/quarter razor so it's value was higher (to me).

70's Super Speeds (again, in my opinion) are inferior to the 47-50 style Super Speeds pictured here.

Good info. I think I will pass on that one. And by the way, you have a great collection.
