Just keep checking. The red 58 TV case seems to come up more often than the blue 54 TV case. I've seen 3 or 4 red and 2 blue the last 6 months.
Don't forget my favorite Super Speed. A 1954 (Z-3 and/or Z-4) the first TV Calvacade of Sports special -a 1940's model. That year is neat because they also made "Z" models in the new Super Speed 1950 design.
Is it a Super Speed, is is a Rocket ? either way my favourite that I own is the flat base plate 1949 Aristocrat Jr. made in England. Heavy as a Red Tip at 66g but a tighter shave from my experience. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threa...gland-to-u-s-built-rocket.50304/#post-1016548
They all look amazing. I have yet to try a super speed. Can't wait to though. There is only one store in my area that I am aware of the sells vintage razors, and I haven't been able to find one yet. I'll keep looking though.
Yeah, I've been giving ebay more consideration but like you said I'll end up paying more. I really enjoy the thrill of finding one in the wild. Just wish there were more places to look in my area.
Round 2 is already up on eBay. I'm omaney there too. I'm doing well so far...they all started at $0.99
http://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?sid=omaney83&_pgn=1&isRefine=true I'm guessing this is the person in question? He mentioned offloading his rhodium plated Fatboy a couple days ago, and there was only one on eBay... Omaney83 is highly coincidental as well.
