I keep reading threads like this about Tabac. Very polarizing. I managed to get a sample from a forum member. I'm anxious to see where I fall on the love it or hate it poles.
Got mine yesterday & tried it out today. Works great, I'd say. Smells fine - not a girly, fluffy smell, but a good, strong, soapy one. Frankly, I get really frustrated when my wife brings home shampoos that smell like coconut cream pie, banana pudding, or some other sugary desert. When I was a kid, shampoo had a certain smell - it was a good smell, appropriate for a product intended to wash one's hair - it smelled like SHAMPOO!!!
:happy001happy102 nice... I like tabac. The soap DOES have a strong scent. I keep my other mugs in the cabinet under the sink & the cabinet now smells like the tabac in my mug...LOL! NOW, it DOES have a scent that radiates from the puck. I happen to not mind it. Others will vary... I find the scent opens up and becomes lighter in the lather, same as a VDH puck. WHen you smell a VDH puck, it DOES have a strong scent, BUT it opens up in the lather. I happen to like the classic scents. People have various tastes......some people even *gulp...* like the veg...LOL...the ONE scent that makes my nostils cringe in the shaving world, LOL!
