Probably the only thing Tabac and Stirling Gentleman have in common is the baby powder (talc) scent, and great lather. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Well, I don't know how long the Tabac survey will be up, but "Good Stuff" has a commanding lead by 37% over "Second To None". I would have to say the other three don't know there's a race goin' down.
That's the key reason I enjoy using Tabac. The scent isn't my favorite of the soaps I've used, but when I smell it I know I'll have a comfortable slick lather. Might get the AS one day as the scent becomes more favorable with repeated use.
I've been considering getting one of those scuttles for a long time. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk

Tabac is indeed a German drugstore product (so is Speick), but imo, it transcends the stereotype in quality by a country-mile. Scent is mos def "love it or leave it", but IF you love the scent, imo, there aren't too many soaps that will give you a better shave...certainly more expensive ones, but better? Very few.
Another Tabac Tuesday down. Unfortunately, still can't take pics right now. Rockwell Model T Astra (4) Zenith N2 Fine Lather Bowl Tabac Cream Tabac AS Tabac EdC Tabac Deodorant Tabac Hair Lotion Gentleman Jon's Alum Block Only a two pass shave this time with pick ups on the neck. Pretty close shave for just two passes. Didn't want to push a third pass due to being as close as I was after only two. No Witch Hazel to do a @wchnu pick up pass. Just put lather on the neck and polished it off. Really good shave.
As mass-produced soaps go, Tabac is right up there with Mitchell's Wool Fat for quality. Smells great, lathers well, and lasts a good while.
Blackland Razor Sabre (L2) GEM PTFE (5) Zenith B19 Fine Lather Bowl Tabac Soap Tabac AS Tabac EdC Tabac Deodorant Tabac Hair Lotion The unfortunate inability to post pictures continues. I was only able to do a two pass shave of WTG and XTG. It was close enough for the day, but if my wife was here she would be a bit upset. She likes me as smooth as possible. However, the Blackland Sabre on L2 is a smooth operator and I'm evened out. This may be my last Tabac Tuesday here for awhile due to the heat here. I really need to switch to crisper fragrances to help cope with the extreme heat out here. Tabac is definitely a colder weather product. It's like wearing a winter coat in the middle of summer. Oh well. I'll put it up for now, but it will be back out probably some time in September. Happy shaves everyone.
