For a while, the closest shave I'd ever gotten was with a Feather in a late-1940's Ball End Tech. That was surpassed by a Derby Extra in my Fendrihan MK. II
Williams Soap applied with a Semogue 830 in both cases.

So the answer would be yes.

For me, Derbys are kind of a "universal" blade. They were the first DE blade I ever used, and so far they've given me a good shave in every razor I've tried them in. If a razor won't work with them, it won't work with any blade.

Techs and SuperSpeeds are my universal razors. They seem to work with almost any blade. So if a blade won't work with them, it won't be good with any razor.

Best of both worlds! Do you have a suitable Frankenrazor to use it?

 

Loaded in my EJ DE89l. The head on this razor seems to be the best fit to hold the two sides in place (close enough for government work) to get a shave out of it. The trick will be not having one side or the other slip while using it. That could be a bad thing. We'll find out tonight if this is a good idea or bad idea.
