I too have too many to list. Most of the soaps I've tried are great smelling, performing soaps. TOBS always smell great, no matter which one I try, although the Peppermint is fricking amazing!! Stirling is also really good but not all of them smell great. The one I've been using every day, just so I can get rid of it, is the TOBS Sandalwood. I'm just about finished with it. Stuff is incredible. And the wife LOVES it.
Is it the cream or the soap? I have the cream and was wondering if the soap was as strong and as wonderfully scented.
Great thread Joseph! I don't know much about scents, or scent categories, but I have a few favorites. All time favorite scent- George F Trumpers GFT. Next in line- Crabtree & Evelyn Morracan Myhrr. Other faves- Maggards London Barbershop. RazoRock XXX Caties Bubbles Spanish Holiday. TOBS Traditional Luxury Shaving Soap. And of course Proraso Red and Proraso Blue.
My favorite scent is ST. JAMES of LONDON Mandarin & Patchouli . 2nd is a Amish made Violet goat's milk soap. (Smells like the Chowards candy ) 3rd would be Speick.
I just have 4 right now, and I'd put them in this order. 1. Stirling Barbershop* 1. TSD Russian Leather* 3. WSP Sandalwood 4. RTe 66 Cavendish. tie goes to Stirling Barbershop.
This so, so, so subjective!! Lol! I will break down a couple of categories, so it at least explains the "why" Cologne scents : executive man from Stirling...the aftershave is great as well. Upscale and classy scents: penhaligons sartorial and Truefitt and Hill 1805 Odd and off-the-wall: About any barrister and mann scent could fit here...but I really like diamond and hallows. Mickey Lee Soap Works makes another incredible soap called Ruby's green that I have to put on here as well. Sweet scents: catie's bubbles has the corner on this market. Their strawberry chocolate and raspberry jells tops the list Menthol: Stirling. All Stirling. I particularly like iced pineapple and Margaritas in the arctic. Citrus: There are a lot of good ones here, but again...I can't think of anyone that has surpassed Stirling Other companies to look out for that produce randomly great scents are crsw, jabonman, L&L grooming, dr. Jon's, Phoenix artisan accoutrements, wholly kaw, and TOBS.
My favorite scent seems to change with the wind. As of yesterday it's Tabac. This stuff is so simple but it's intoxicating to me.

My den has changed quite a bit in months since I posted this. It's kind of difficult, as I don't keep scents I don't like. And they are difficult to categorize, so I am simply listing the scents I always love to come back to (in no particular order). Tabac Henri Et Victoria Cognac and Cubans RazoRock Puros B&M Seville B&M Latha Taiga Stirling Baker Street Stirling Iced Pineapple Stirling Port Au Prince Lisa's Natural Cedar & Saffron Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I have relatively few soaps that have truly caught my nose, as it were. A few have definitely stood out, though. Favourite menthol: -Stirling Frozen Tundra: smells like it's name sounds, like you're outside in the cold. Favourite herbal: -Wickham's 1912 Scottish Heather: just got some sample of this today, but I really like the blend of grass, aniseed and cedar. Very well done scent in my opinion. Favourite woody scent: -Mike's Pine and Cedarwood. Sadly it set off my skin a bit. Favourite "warm" scent: Mornington shave Co Abstergo: great blend of amber, a little cedar and some Rosemary. Great scent. Sadly, the artisan making the soap seems to have dropped off the market, which is quite unfortunate. My runner-up in this category would be Tabac. I like how the warmer notes come out in the dry-down. Favourite cologne scent: -very little exposure to these types but really like Stirling Executive Man.
Oh my this is tough I have two more soaps coming in tomorrow and I will be back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I better update this list. Best lemon/lime scented soap: Stirling Gin & Tonic on the Rocks. The rest are as they are.
