Which part? Music? The things you were doing? I'd go for the time of my studies, the music that came with it and of course meeting my wife!
I'm finally a member of the Android phone world with a new Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro and was testing Tapatalk on it and how it operated in posting pictures before I showed off the goodness over in the Voskhod thread. Tapatalk is really neat. It lets you post a picture from the camera itself... gives an option, you take a picture and it adds it to the post. Really like Tapatalk!
Jody, I am using Tapatalk on a Samsung Windows phone. It mostly works well, but the biggest frustration is reading posts that have picture attachments. For example, the picture you posted above. When I click on it, I get an error. Can you view the picture that you posted? Maybe this is just a bug in their Windows app.
Welcome to the Darkside Jody! I mostly use Tapatalk for all my interactions on the site. The only thing that would make it better would be to have the "Like" option and the ability to read and reply to your PMs. Other than that it can do everything. I hope you enjoy your new Sony! Mo, have you upgraded your Tapatalk? I don't seem to get the error your describing. (I'm on the ATRIX) What phone are you on? You may need to contact the dev go see if it is a bug for your phone.
Yes, I can view the picture and tap on it too to make it bigger. Everything seems to be working fine except I haven't had an opportunity yet to actually use the moderator parts of the app. Yes, would definitely be nice to have the Like option and read/start/reply to PMs. Definitely loving my new phone, just hate the battery life. Android is horrible on battery life which is why I've been avoiding getting an Android phone up until now. 1500 mAh battery for a computer, which is essentially what smartphones are today, is just ridiculous on Sony's part. I've got my eye on a 1700 mAh extended batter and a 3400 mAh extended battery. The 1700 won't require a bigger battery cover but it only adds an additional 200 mAh at a cost of $45.00. The 3400 mAh is $85.00 and of course thicker and comes with a bigger battery cover but the phone won't recognize that high to 3400 so I'd have to remember when my phone says there's only 1% of battery left, there's actually about another 8 hours left. Decisions...
Is the Sony a dual core? I used to be pretty mad about the battery life too, as I can use it up in about 8 hours. If you are planning on doing heavy use on yours, then the extended battery would probably be a good thing. I still have the stock battery, but with the version of Gingerbread I am running (2.3.4) it messed up the battery calibration, so if my phone is rebooted, the battery gains about 10-15% of a charge... How are your options for docks (charging stations)? Then again there are always custom roms., they (can) help a lot with battery life and make your phone way better than you could ever imagine...but that is a dangerous route if you don't know what your doing.
Mine's running 2.3.4 as well on a 1 GHz Scorpion CPU with the Snapdragon chipset. I got the red one because the cheapest place I could find one unbranded, unlocked was out of the black ones.
You need to root your phone and throw a custom rom on it. You will see an immediate improvement on your battery life. Check out xda forums for any questions you may have.
They support PMs on the iphone app as well as some other extras. I use a nuviphone with it and some pics work sometimes and not others.
My phone is a Samsung Focus, running Windows. The phone is great, but the support for the Tapatalk app has been pretty poor. The Windows version is called Board Express Pro, but it is made by the Tapatalk folks. The app would not even connect to TSD for a few months after the conversion to Xenfora last year.Oh well, I can read and type text. If there is a picture that I want to see, I can always use the mobile web browser.
That red is very snazzy! Mine is a dual core, 1Gh processor, HDMI output, all touchscreen (with the exception of the fingerprint scanner/power button). It also comes with a 1930 mAh Li Ion battery. If you do decide to root just be VERY mindful of what can go wrong and when; also of the warranties you are voiding. My phone is unlocked (bootloader...meaning I can install custom roms) and rooted, but not carrier unlocked. I got through my unlocking without a hicup, but I read everyday of people who have bricked their phones because they didn't do their homework first and tried something that ruins the phone. But anyway, great looking phone Jody! I hope you enjoy it! With Android the world is pretty much limitless with what you can do!
My carrier is Straight Talk so I can use any GSM phone that has AT&T's network frequencies. Can't beat that unlimited everything for $45 a month. ST now has a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program but I've been doing it since I got with them last year by buying their Nokia E71 which came with an unlocked SIM card. I actually attempted to root it a couple of days ago but Sony's new firmware, which I obviously had to install upon first using the phone, has killed the method. I'm following the XDA thread for an update to the root file.
