The 2012 Voskhod DE Blade Group Buy

Thanks for letting me get in on the deal as well.

 

I've had an epiphany about Voskhods. The first 2 shaves are a bit rough. Shaves 3 through six are great, when I use them in a Merkur slant with Proraso green tub.

BUT, I missed the boat on the group buy.

None yet. Still dealing with my distributor. They have a tendency to answer me whenever they feel like it. Don't know if it's a New York thing they've learned since coming to America or a Russian thing they brought with them. But we'll have it wrapped up soon and as soon as I have a definitive, I'll let everyone know.

 

An update... had a conversation with my distributor tonight. Blades will be paid for Monday and shipped to me this coming week. To keep costs down for the group buy, they are being shipped to me via USPS Parcel mail which means they will get to me whenever the USPS feels like it. Could be up to 3 weeks but last time, it took around 8 or 9 days. At any rate, they will be on their way to me this coming week. Once they arrive, I'll post a notice here and let everyone know that mailing to you has begun.

Additionally, contrary to the mis-information that has been spread around the different shaving forums, the cases are costing exactly what I said they would... $200. The distributor said whomever is spreading the mis-information that they are selling them for $160, is lieing. The distributor's words, not mine. The distributor has been quite angry that thanks to those posts on the different forums, people have been blowing their phone up demanding cases of blades for $160. The distributor almost didn't sell to me thinking I may have been one of those spreading the mis-information. I had to direct him to the posts and prove to him it wasn't me. Now, the distributor could be fibbing to me as well but I don't really care at this point. Even at $200 per case, we're getting a good blade for a good price and supporting The Shave Den at the same time.

Stay tuned... The Russians (Voskhod blades) are coming!

TBH I don't care if they were $160 or not lol. As you said $200 is still one heck of a steal for them, I just hope my 3 cards will last me until the next group buy OH! I should have the new address in the next 2 weeks, just have to deal with the army housing and post office to get a PO box since there's no mail service to my door anymore. I gotta be honest, the fact some people spread some lies has me pissed.

I just want to state it openly: I DON"T CARE WHAT JODY PAID, I CARE WHAT I PAID. Even though I believe you 100% Jody, I got the best price on those blades that I've seen so screw the liars. Even if you were to have gotten them at a lower price I still wouldn't care; I paid next to nothing for them.

Yup... That just about sums it all up

 

I base my buying decisions on what the sale price and what the product is worth to me, not on what I think the seller paid. $10/card is a killer deal. If it helps out TSD, all the better!

That said, I have no reason to believe that IAmTheJody has been anything less than 100% truthful!

Updating... got notice today that the blades shipped today from the distributor to me. Getting closer...
