    It's their reaction to this group buy and last year's group buy. The vendors want to be the only people to have access to them so they can sell them at the higher prices they've been getting for them. They could continue to do so if they wanted to but - and I read this myself in a thread by all 3 vendors involved - they are simply choosing not to carry this company's blades anymore because of the fact that the distributor will sell them to people like me for group buys.

    I'd also say that as the vendors are now refusing to carry Voskhods because of this, you'd better get in on this group buy because without vendors buying them from the distributor, it's possible you won't see these blades available for sale in the USA again. The distributor just simply isn't going to import them from Russia just for the 5 to 10 cases I may buy for group buys each year. It's obviously not feasible to the distributor to do that.

    Having said all of that, let's return this thread to the subject at hand... if you'd like to buy Voskhod razor blades, see the first post in this thread. Stake your claim and pay ASAP so we can get the blades in hand and sent out to everyone.

    Thanks for that Jody, my comment above may have been prophetic!

    Must dash off and get another card through the group buy NOW before it is too late. Hmmm, maybe that should be two?

    According to this link you can order from the distributor for $160 a case (4000 blades), or $5 a pack. What is the advantage of the group buy then? Am curious about these blades, as I've heard some good reviews.

    As this is your first, and one and only post, welcome to TSD.

    Add in the shipping costs and payment fees and it comes to the same as what's being charged in the group buy, if not cheaper for international buyers. Of course if you want a whole case, then yes, it makes sense to do it on your own and buy from them direct, keeping in mind they will charge shipping too and it's not cheap. No one here has inquired about a whole case. Otherwise, buy from the group buy and support TSD.

    I should also note that the price per case given to me directly from the distributor is $200 plus shipping. That's what it was for the group buy last June and that's what they said it was this time too. So either Mynorx, aka Altair, is giving out mis-information or the distributor is lieing to me. Obviously I'll be bringing this up with the distributor.
